Will we see this escalate on to other sports, boxing, Motor Racing, Rah Rah girls, and the Motor Show etc.

It is not the end.

It is not even the beginning of the end.

But it is, perhaps, the end of the beginning :-)
There's a superfluous 'other' in there, darts ain't sport and no amount of walk-on music, fist bumping and back slapping will change that.

Now to the question, there's a disconnect between toned young women and the 'athletes' that's just too jarring, the rest of the places, not so much.
It's very silly.

Isn't it - Oche?
These 'walk on' girls wouldn't be my cup of tea but I can't really see what harm they're doing.
(probably ugly) middle class women seem determined to block off all (legal) avenues to well paid work for pretty working class girls.

If Archery can be classed as a sport, I can't see why darts cannot be.

One has the use of a very sophisticated bow to propel the arrow in archery, whilst in darts all one has is the use of a sharp eye, the arm, hand and the fingers as the propellant.
What is the definition of a sport ?
There are many Bazile, a many as the are stars in the sky and NONE of them include darts. :-)
It often makes me giggle when the darts commentators refer to the participants as "athletes". :-)
For pitys sake. There's some sad, sour people around. The girls aren't being forced to do it, let them enjoy being young and pretty, it doesn't last forever.

Obviously they couldn't by any stretch of the imagination be classed as "athletes" but Darts being a sport, why not?

// What is the definition of a sport ?//

croquet used to be an olynpic sport apparently

they have a fat overfed parasitic committee to decide these things apparently (IOC that is)
time these sports got rid of the sexism that underlies
them, young women parading should be a thing of the past.
Even if they enjoy it Emmie?
one way to supplement your income i suppose but surely these pretty girls, if they are, could find better ways to earn a few bob.
That is entirely up to them Emmie

That's put paid to the Notting hill Carnival then, just to name but one.
The end of what ?

The end of sexism, I doubt it.
The end of sad old men being pervs, I doubt it.
around a boxing ring i meant. and at darts - i just don't like it.
