//" It is my honor and privilege to sentence you because you do not deserve to walk outside of a prison ever again.” //

I can't improve on the words spoken by the Judge.

I wonder if she does taxi drivers.
Glad to see he has been convicted but a completely ludicrous sentence !
I'm sure there's a way you could find out Douglas.

What is your sentence of choice then Mikey?

Worboys too short, this perv too long, where's your Goldilocks zone?
Originally it was 60 years.
These huge sentences, way beyond the life span of a human being, do seem bizarre. Presumably it is because the crimes are sentenced consecutively
//completely ludicrous sentence ! //

It doesn't matter, neither would 1000 years. He's never coming out.
No parole then?
To sentence a 54 year old man, who is already serving a
60 year sentence, to a further 175 makes no sense at all.

He will serve the rest of his life in prison, which I think he deserves.
Parole in 87 and a half years :-)
When he is 141 years old Itchy !
I'm not that picky. He's never coming out. That suits me.
"125 years... Oh God, Oh God... I'll be 161 when I get out."

Harry Monroe, Stir Crazy.

:-)
It's not ludicrous at all mikey, it gives gravitas to his crimes and a sense of closure to his victims. Just as Worboys sentenced only equalled about 6 weeks per victim if he has indeed assaulted all those who claim he has, this man's sentence will be considered by his victims and they have a bench mark that their suffering was taken seriously.
Yes, it looks far less ludicrous than the Buy one get one free offers, that we seem to specialise in here.
now that's proper sentencing!
mikey: "to sentence a 54 year old man, who is already serving a
60 year sentence, to a further 175 makes no sense at all. " someone always says that but think about it, who cares about life expectancy? basically he's been given life, proper life like what life should mean, bravo.
wish the septics had sentenced that animal Worboys.
why does it have to make sense arithmetically mikey?
It is daft.
Are they going to leave the body in jail for 150-odd years after he’s died :-)
I’d have thought as a victim it would be more satisfying to hear ‘sentenced to life and you’re never getting out’
