Good Morning Early Birds!

Thursday. An almost tropical 12°C this morning outside. The wee man on the idiot box is just telling us that is going to change today. Jack Frost is on his way.
We had a lovely day yesterday. We had a guide to show us round the helicopter museum, he was very knowledgeable and gave us a very good guided tour. I learned a few things.
I'm hoping the shower room saga ends today, but I won't bet on it!
Have a happy day everyone.

The forecast sugests that we'll get very wet before we get very cold.
The best guided tour I ever went on was at a sewage plant! I'd seen that Anglian Water were offering free guided tours one Sunday and I managed to drag my father along. We got there late in the day and we were the last visitors. So we got a guided tour all to ourselves, with a guy who was as enthusiastic about his subject as Dr Magnun Pyke (remember him?) would have been. i.e. his arms were flailing about as explained the movements of unmentionable substances through the plant and he made his talk thoroughly enhoyable. One of the best free days out I've ever had!

Good morning/afternoon, Seekerz, BTW.
I've not been to the helicopter museum at Weston, Boaty, but I have been on the beach there when there was a big event on, with helicopters taking off and landing on the beach all the time.
We get a bit fed up of helicopters around here though, with the army's biggest chopper base in the country just down the road at Wattisham. The Suffolk Police helicopter is based there too and, up until recently, the RAF air-sea rescue base was also there. So we get helicopters flying over our houses day and night. (It can sound like a scene from the movie M*A*S*H* here at times, especially when there's a big exercise on).

Good morning, Eleena.
The locals around here aren't averse to aircraft noise, Boaty. Many people say that they miss the Phantom jets flying in and out of Wattisham (when it was still an RAF base). They were far noisier than the choppers but people had a fondness for the Phantoms, which they don't seem to have for helicopters.
