Not long now, as the verdict is expected at 09:00. Its been a long, drawn out affair, and there are, and will be be still people who says that this Bar Steward is innocent.

A Serb interviewed on the news last night said Mladic was a hero.
morning Danny xx
I don't think anyone is saying he's innocent mikey.
Good morning Minty xxx
Question Author
TTT....no, not on here but I have just heard his son being interviewed on Radio 4, and he, and others say that Mladic is somehow "misunderstood" They deny that he was responsible for the worst mass killing in Europe since the end of WW2. As Danny has said above, this truly awful man is still worshiped in Serbia, and I expect the obvious verdict due any minute won't change that.

One of the worst aspects of this affair is how the world just stood by and let these genocides happen.

We seem to have learned nothing in the intervening 23 years. I was also listening yesterday, to what is happening to the Rohingya people.
Is there any connection between the events in Serbia and those in Myanmar Mikey?
they, presumably, do not deny he did it but claim he was justified. As for standing by, did GWB and St Tony not bomb the tish out of the serbs?
Question Author
Togo....yes.....both events happened while the rest of the world stood around doing beggar all. Another similarity is that both communities are Muslim.
Question Author
TTT...your grasp on history leaves a lot to be desired.

The Srebrenica massacre occurred in Jut 1995. Blair wasn't elected until May 1997.
Question Author
Thanks Danny.
fair enough but they did do something in the end.
Ahh I see where you are coming from....... Now I know where you are trying to go.
Question Author
TTT....but not until the Serbs had murdered thousands of entirely innocent people.

The UN should be holding their heads in shame as well.
::::::

"In April 1993 the United Nations (UN) had declared the besieged enclave of Srebrenica—in the Drina Valley of northeastern Bosnia—a "safe area" under UN protection"
Question Author
Togo,...why the undisguised sarcasm ? Those are facts.

As we speak, the Rohingya people people are being raped, tortured and killed, and yet again, the free world stands around doing nothing.
Mikey, what would you like the free world to do?
Probably cherry pick facts from history.

Now watch mikey say im a Mladic fan
Question Author
Naomi...stop pussy-footing around and put some real pressure on Myanmar, to stop this genocide, would be a good pace to start.
Question Author
Talbot....as usual, your comments are ill thought out, but....no great surprise there I suppose.
Mladic and his henchmen have apologists in some very unlikely places. The scale alone of what happened in Srebrenica is staggering.
