Based on reading that my first impressions are - no he shouldn't, at the very least he will be under close review.
No
http://www.manchestereveningnews.co.uk/news/greater-manchester-news/doctor-who-sexually-assaulted-nurse-13937365

according to this report he's been suspended for a year
"A doctor who groped a nurse’s breast whilst working at a hospital has been suspended from the profession for a year.

Dr Imran Rauf Qureshi, 44, was convicted by a jury after a trial of a single count of sexual assault in May, last year.

Now a medical tribunal has ruled his fitness to practice is impaired and his name has been suspended from the Medical Register for 12 months."

I think he should be banned from practising ever again.

wonder which is the more accurate reporting though...
I think these doctors with ' cultural' differences, should be made to go on a course to be shown and respect our culture by not treating women as sexual objects!
No
NO and he 'misread the signals'. Which signals ??

///In June 2016 the father-of-two was ordered to sign the Sex Offender Register for five years after he was convicted of sexual assault by a jury.
He has since attended a course on maintaining professional boundaries and his position as a doctor will be reviewed next year.///

patsy, it is well within the british culture to treat women as sexual objects
NO, he decided to touch a female , a big no no in any job , trying to use cultural differences is cobblers. He has a wife and kids but still fancied an affair, he should no be allowed back.

A Pakistani who molested a girl and blames ‘cultural norms in the UK’? Oh dear …. that sounds rather familiar.
Meant to say, no, he shouldn't keep his job. He should be packed off back to where he came from to embrace the 'cultural norms' there.
no totally inappropriate and unacceptable behaviour
They'll let him back due to the lack of doctors in the NHS :-(

Personally, I think he should be kicked into touch.
he's a lucky man. This is a lucky woman

However, the NHS can ill afford to lose staff, however dodgy.
It is a cultural norm in this country for blokes to make unwanted advances on women. Anyone who disagrees should just look at the news
British women have quite a reputation particularly in European holiday resorts.
For some unknown reason British nurses have quite a reputation....even in their own country.
His action was inappropriate, but unfortunately the NHS needs doctors and i bet that he was in a post and at a level that was difficult to fill.
you're not wrong, bednobs. All the same, a locally-born doctor might lose his job over such behaviour.

Or not. It's hard to guess.
One would hope that this man, presumably quite intelligent, does look at the news because it’s currently full of complaints of sexual abuse. ‘Cultural norm’ is an excuse that is inexcusable.
Bednobs, unfortunately true. So we don't want other cultures adding to it. We've got enough of our own!
