If a new book comes out in paperback will it eventually come out as hard-backed book. Thanks

I thought they normally came out in hardback first and then go in to paperback? Although I may be wrong.

There are many books that are never produced in a hardback edition.
Do a Google (or other search engine) search using the title and author (or ISBN number) + Hardback.
Try another book shop!

ok - thanks Woof - have just finished reading a hard-backed book - and it was great to be able to set on cushion and read comfortably and so I would have liked to have done so with the "new" book.

It's only out yesterday

I'll try that Mamy.
If you told us the name we may be able to help you better but this is just the blind leading the blind at the moment!

Thanks all for your answers. x
Didn't mean to pry JJ, just that I have a few publishing contacts and it may not always be obvious that a hardback edition may have been published.
