AOG....but not fox hunters though is she ? She even wants to repeal the Hunting with Dogs Act.
Hope there's enough Police to prevent this mob getting anywhere near the conference - they have the evidence and can use whatever force is necessary - Why, because there is a likelihood that a breach of the peace will occur.
Dave...20,000 fewer Police than in 2010....so are you sure ?
Perhaps Mrs May wants to keep the hunt packs intact to set them on the rabble? :))
More fake news from the alt right .
Yes I am sure. No numbers of police are known to us but if the information is being taken seriously the police will be drawn from all over the country.
Could be gromit. We'll find out soon enough.

Sad thing though mikey is the fact that these loveable 'doggy' like animals are vicious killers and need to be culled.

Fox hunting is an ancient national tradition, and while Bull fighting is allowed in Spain, why can't we hang on to one of our traditions also?
If I can put on my 'Bernard hat' for a moment. you can't shackle somebody with blinkers. :)
// you can't shackle somebody with blinkers. :) //

This is true. I tried it once and they escaped within seconds.
I do wonder how many people have actually read the link:

"Bitter lefties wreck Tory gin party?"

... Well, call me callous, but I really do struggle to find it in me to care.

Re: the topic of this thread - i.e. protests at the Tory conference... so what? The Conservative party is the governing party. Why shouldn't protests happen at their conference?
//The MEN reports that police are having to draft in officers from nearby forces to help out, and have had to cancel their leave.
Security will be tight - especially after the Manchester bombing which killed 22 people just four months earlier.//
//Many more armed police will be on duty, not only inside the venue, but also across the city centre, to "respond immediately" to any serious threat//

yep, having a right to protest has logistical consequences.

I am still not seeing why this is a reason why the governing party shouldn't be protested though. Unless you want to go down the "it's annoying" or "it's expensive" route.
Have finally managed to read the main link and consider it to be a load of rubbish and wild threats. Sounds as if they are they words of a 'remainer' reporter.

If this is so Mickey, why put more pressure on the police with this sort of thuggery. As far as I'm concerned they should treat these people like they do with the far right.

///Togo....trying to stop free speech///

Only Mikey could come up with that ^^ in a thread about a Mob assembling to do exactly that at The Tory Party Conference.
Is that not a bit insidious though?

I mean I get that there are limits (personally I am against hate speech law in principle, but libel etc surely deserves prosecution) - but just declaring everyone outside of the exact centre to be "extremist" doesn't seem healthy.

Plus it is not these protesters' fault that the police are under resourced. Right to protest is not a fanciful luxury, it's an important part of a functioning civil society - and the fact that it annoys or inconveniences people really is not that important.
Hope they get a few detectives amongst this Police operation, to see if they can find the Tories Lost Majority.

Does anyone know how you get in touch with rent-a-mob and what kind of rates they charge by the way?
There've been a number of occasions in the past when I've needed a mob, but I can never find a contact number for them.
