Mail, Sun, Mirror and Daily Star as far as I can find.

I am sure that if I am wrong someone will soon be along with the evidence.

He's run of the mill, I had no idea who he was and I know a fair bit about football ... he is no celeb, AOG

Nobody is defending them, AOG

What has your introduction of child rapes by parents or guardian got to do with this thread? Please do try and keep on track.

And I have said the same, when I put:

"Why are some of you defending these two alleged rapists"?
Nobody has defended those men on this thread, AOG
if PROVED guilty, then they should rot in jail for a long, long time

Regarding the reporting of rapes in the media, I know of one, locally, which wasn't.
// Why are some of you defending these two alleged rapists?

proven by those who obviously would have wished this disgusting double rape not to be reported on. //

I have just gone through the whole thread, and no one is defending the suspects. And no one is wishing it not to be reported.
I think you should apologise for making those incorrect statements about fellow ABers.
Tumbleweed moment Gromit!!!
but after you typed that AOG you reverted to

Perhaps a sign of the times that we live in, proven by those who obviously would have wished this disgusting double rape not to be reported on.

AOG, your intransigence and the ease with which you insult your fellow members here is at times sickening.

My Father was born in 1924 and had he lived to see people of a similar age to him behaving as you do I know what he'd have thought of your stand point on so many topics.

You wrote:

“but then again they are not rapists, and also don't bring along a mate to join him, in a gang rape of a young 17 year old girl.”

So have they now been convicted?

If this is the case, can you confirm the sentence handed down.
AOG

I see you subsequently inserted ‘allegedly’, so ignore my question.

Now that you’ve have had a chance to read through the responses, why do you think this case has received publicity that that of Chad Evans...?

Or perhaps you could tell us of the cases you’re thinking of, because Mr Evans isn’t the only footballer to have been charged for sexual offences in the past year.

Who were you thinking of?

Perhaps you and others like you should take a lesson in manners before daring to lesson others.

I asked a perfectly reasonable news story question and look at the way I have been attacked.

Did anyone immediately jump in to condemn such acts as the alleged gang rape of a 17 year old girl?

One couldn't be more defending of two possible rapists than that.

The only one who got even close to condemning their alleged actions, was from albaqwerty who said:

"if PROVED guilty, then they should rot in jail for a long, long time"
Absolutely nothing amiss with my manners, but yours are questionable in particular when you accuse others of defending someone charged with a horrible crime.

oi, leave me out of it!!

Wow that really does speak volumes, I wonder if he also agreed with his own daughter's standpoints?.
In the main we agreed yes, we were very alike and shared many interests - he taught me a lot about life.
I still haven't seen anyone defending these alleged rapists on this thread,
Rape is the most appalling, heinous crime (murder is worse) the victim lives with the results and the imagery for the rest of their life
(whether the victim be male or female)
