Trump would appear to be a climate-change denier !

Would any of Trump's dwindling band of groupies, here on AB, like to comment ?

Trump has asserted that it is a hoax in public, on his own twitter feed and elsewhere, multiple times. http://www.snopes.com/donald-trump-global-warming-hoax/ Trump "says he is open to a climate deal"? Well, he says lots of things. The man is a liar.

There's no evidence that I'm thick or even lacking in comprehension whereas, someone who supports a world leader who says, amongst other things, that climate change is an invention of the Chinese is, paptently, daft.
Zacs, //There's no evidence that I'm thick ...//

Who said you're thick, Zacs? Let me at 'em! ;o)
It will be a dark day indeed when I have to ask you, or anyone else, to assist me in making a point.
:o)
Ahhh, nice. I like him.
Always making a fool out of Dick wasn't he? Medal medal medal.
Indeed he was. :o)
I had a friend who called his heavy metal band Mutley in honour.
I have not read all of this but he may not be a "Climate Change Denier". He may, like me, accept the fact that the climate changes over time, always has, always will. He may also accept, like me, that since mankind's contribution to the change amounts to four-fifths of five-eights of sweet FA there's little we can do about it (as King Knud demonstrated to his lackies, albeit on a slightly different issue). He may also take the view that even if the US embarks on many of the lunatic and hare-brained schemes that are proposed to combat climate change they have as much chance of achieving their aim as I have of becoming the Pope so they may as well not bother.
So, in short, he may also, like you, completely fail to understand the Science behind Climate Change, while also being apparently uninterested in bothering to correct those misunderstandings?
You give him credit for a depth of thought that I doubt exists. He can only think about two moves ahead. The reason he favours twitter is, I suspect, it's 140 character limit meaning no one can take him to task at any great length. Also, his supporters probably find it easier to understand than all the unnecessary policy stuff and laws.
NJ, I feel a bit like that about climate change. The science behind it or not, unless we are prepared to change our lifestyle dramatically – which we’re clearly unwilling to do - all attempts to combat it are futile and can, at best, only delay the inevitable.
How pompous can you get?
No idea who you're referring to, ymb, but if I remember correctly the last time we personally talked about Climate Change, you made a lot of points, I provided sources that refuted all of those points, and you openly admitted that you had no interest in reading them. Nj and I have also talked about Climate Change a lot, with generally similar progress.

And yes, I don't think it's unreasonable to condemn Trump's understanding of a topic he described as a "hoax invented by the Chinese".

What he said was; "The concept of global warming was created by and for the Chinese in order to make U.S. manufacturing non-competitive."
OK, fine, he called it a hoax and he linked it to the Chinese in different tweets.

https://twitter.com/realdonaldtrump/status/265895292191248385

He also tweeted 'Give me clean, beautiful and healthy air - not the same old climate change (global warming) ***! I am tired of hearing this nonsense.'
I don't think the Chinese created the concept of global warming, but they do make an awful lot of muck, so much so they can hardly breathe over there and giving away billions and forfeiting Western jobs isn't going to alter how they behave one jot.
I stand 4 square behind the Donald.
At his most outspoken, Donald Trump has outright denied climate change.

However, Trump's choice of leader for the transition period at the Environmental Protection Agency has finally sent a clear message on climate change. His choice? Staunch climate sceptic Myron Ebell.

wiki "Through CEI, Ebell has stated his belief that global warming is a hoax,[34] that most of the data predicting climate change is false,[35] and that the scientific consensus was "phony".

so the trump administration isnt shot thro with climate change deniers in prominent positions....
..........
yeah right - normal day on AB then
