Great choice or 'political correctness gone mad'

Personally I wanted Tilda Swindon, but that was unlikely to ever happen.

Dammit I thought I was posting in this thread but it was the other one. Doh. A few years ago I’d have thought it was a daft idea but the plotlines have allowed for it, so as long as there’s some “internal” logic for it I’m not bothered. Plus I’ve been feeling for a while that it’s grown stale and complacent, and is in need of a firm kick up the rear end....

the argument about the gender of the doctor seems odd to me, he/she's not even a homo sapien is he/she?

whoever thought that Sylvester McCoy would be a good decision should be transported to the restaurant at the end of the universe.
Sorry, can't do links - never really had the need to learn; shocking, i know - but there's a photo of 2 Daleks in this morning's Mirror and one of them is saying;

EX-FO-LI-ATE

Well, it made me smile :-)
Ken...makes me smile as well !
lol, I like it !

I know it's time to exfoliate when my leg hairs have split ends.
This weak woman Dr is already looking like a really bad decision.

Daleks are already taking liberties, they will rule this country by 2025.

Political correctness gone mad.
2025 eh?
We've got time to pull their plungers out.
If you'd said 2020, I'd have been more worried.
'Political correctness gone mad' along with a Lesbian side kick, and the vast increase in ethnic minority news readers, news correspondents, sports correspondents and weather presenters.

One could be forgiven in not believing that this country is no longer a white majority country.
Brilliant its about time that some out there realise women are equal to men!

I agree with gay bing relative unknowns a shot.

Jodie Whittaker is best known for her role in ITV's 'Broadchurch'.

Other than that, I've not seen her in anything else.

She was, however, excellent in Broadchurch.
Women should have equal rights to men but what do you mean by ...

Women even if given equal opportunities can clearly not compete with men in many, many sports.
I don't know what's worse - this, or Tom Cruise playing Jack Reacher.

> kvalidir Exactly he's from Gallifrey so not human and he has two hearts which he can stop at will- how is he NOT alien?

Four he's in one sentence - fail! It turns out that The Doctor is not a he or a she but some kind of regenerative pangender being. We'll have to go back and edit every article and book written about "him" in the past, using transgender pronouns:

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Third-person_pronoun#Transgender_pronouns
haha ... very good spot Ellipsis.
Tom Thumb Cruise playing Jack Reacher is worse, much worse.

Agree about the sports Talby, watching some women play darts is as dull as dishwater.
But if women want to play rugby against each other, or darts, or footie, or whichever, then that's fine.
But just not against the men, different build, I say Viva Le Difference!
I disagree...there is evidence that on Gallifrey the appropriate gender pronouns are used for the regeneration that is being discussed...thus “I knew him when she was a little girl"
