Sadly, its possible that a CRB check can just mean that the “checkee” hasn’t been caught.
Woofy....in the case of the type of CRB check that I and others are subject to, all t means is that I have no conviction. But, as can be seen in the recent Panorama program, it may just mean that when suspicions are raised, that person just moves on and starts his behaviour somewhere else.
CRB checks are meaningless. I was checked as Treasurer of the local Scout group even though that post gave me no access to the boys.
As a parent of a Scout I did come into contact with them and was asked to give lifts to and from camps and meetings. No check at all.

/// So, it isn't just about religious Leaders, in any shape or form. ///

Oh so in your bigoted world, you wouldn't like to see adults giving up their time training our youngsters in sports or in any other pastimes and outdoor pursuits?

Lock them up safely in their rooms playing their video games eh?
AOG...trust you to come up with that lot of guff !

I, and everybody else on here, have answered TTT's question and everybody has come to the same conclusion.

What I am saying is this...... despite all the apologies from various sources, abuse is still going on, and its still going on because the institutions allow it to continue.
because they can get away with it, seeing as how they are in a form of authority, personally i would see any of these people jailed for life.
Emmie...the problem is that any people jailed for life, would soon be replaced by other potential paedophiles.

Because the Institutions are not taking this issue seriously enough.
then we must get better at detecting this sort of behaviour,
Amazing absolutely amazing, I have just opened the link, expecting to see it appertaining to Roman Catholic priests, Scout Leaders, Cadet Officers, and other youth leaders, but no it was regarding a Muslim leader.

Why wasn't there any references to him or his religion, taking into account the Northern City's vast number of cases of Muslim child abuse?

Are we to no longer criticise anything on here if it happens to involve Muslims in a particular bad way?
AOG...answer TTTs question. The rest of us have.

Nothing wrong in summarising other's answers, most on here do it all the time, and that includes yourself.
Some of the very worst abuse was carried out by Nuns in convent schools, not sexual maybe but vicious and sadistic.

I am so pleased that the "So" Rule still works!!!
