Yes I read this. Darwin Award sprang to mind immediately.

All this pathetic desire to be famous for doing nothing of note and at any cost is stupid in the extreme.

But the sad fact is enough of them do get fame and notoriety and money and all the things they crave from being talentless. So they will carry on all the while there are idiots willing to watch.
