TBH I'm surprised they are not burning mosques!
Burning books and threatening to kill will achieve what?
It may well come to that,TTT, if things continue as they are. TBH I am surprised at the relatively muted reaction. If I were a Muslim in Britain I would be fearing for my safety.

//This was a concerning incident and we will be carrying out a thorough investigation. //

Are they kidding?

Clearly no shortage of Police then when it comes to things that matter.

If he'd burnt a Bible they wouldn't have been interested.
^ Or if it was a muslim burning our flag.

Apparently the police have also released those two knife-men who had threatened Muslims, that also seems unwise.
Anyone threatening with a knife should be in jail.

Burning a book should not matter so long as it is not stolen from someone.

/// The video, which MailOnline has chosen not to publish, shows a tattooed man standing in a kitchen complaining about being unable to start a fire. ///

Yes a dodgy lot these tattooed men all the makings of Far-Right racist thugs.

Wait a minute though isn't that racist towards New Zealand Maoris?

No, it isn't the way to do it - but I'm not surprised it's happening.

I think you have misunderstood my headline, I was questioning "That's the way to do it" note the question mark.

I was questioning the Police's actions, arresting a man for burning a book while they had released a man onto the streets, who later carried out a terrorist attack.
aog, They arrested the men who burnt the book on suspicion of racial hatred, which is a crime. I can only imagine they, under current laws, had no legal reason to detain the other man for longer than they did.
Some activities defuse a situation whilst others exasperate it. Whilst it ought not be a crime to burn one's book, it ought to be one to attempt to cause civil unrest. It's just common sense it had to be dealt with or there would be more trying to inflame things.

As for the bail issue, that was for a different criminal activity. People do get bailed when there has been no sound reason offered to deny it.

I don't see the point of trying to tie the two news items together.
'inflame things' very clever.
