YMB...London is awash with armed Police, and quite rightly too. But they didn't stop last nights terrorist attack.
// Cloverjo, ‘extremely unlikely’ isn’t good enough.//

extremely unlikely is just about good enough for an extremely large number of people in the Gtr London Area

You are extremely more likely to be run down as you cross the road ( oops! ) but I dont hear the usual suspects hollering about that
(1700 dead and 22 000 injured / y )
as a road safety analyst said - that is three or four aircraft dropping out of the air and no one says diddly squat
ag at 08.31, indeed.

PeterPedant, these incidents are not accidents.
Peter, you shock me with your fatuous road traffic accident statement.
I thought you had a bit more sense than that.

Mikey @ 08:21 //I would be interested in how you would propose to "get tough"//

What do YOU think should be done about it Mikey?
// Peter, you shock me with your fatuous road traffic accident statement. I thought you had a bit more sense than that.//

prepare to be shocked some more

6 dead is less than 1700 dead - surprising but true

and so... if you dont wanna die .. pay more attention to road deaths (shock horror!) - but if you want to do something else ....

or as Stalin said - ( shock horror even more ! blimey he was a nasty man) one death is a tragedy - a million deaths is a statistic
This repeated comparison to the statistics of other everyday accidents reads like some are saying do nothing and let it carry on because it's just one of those rare things.
I think comparing deaths is a rather childish and disrespectful waste of one's time. Shall we cease?
// PeterPedant, these incidents are not accidents. //

yes but they are deaths ...

unless you are going to get into the discussion of - a police death is more important than a child's death and much much more important than a death of an unarmed but injured Taliban...
^I have to wonder what's going on in that pathetic excuse for a brain.

^^^ Ditto!
Quite.
Was this attack in the word / Cause of Islam? how Evil this religion, what is the matter with these evil pieces of human excrement, & these evil people want the public to mix with some of them, if caught these scum want putting against a wall and shooting.
They were shot TWR. Well, three of them I understand.
Just read the Mirror Zac, it say's they got away!!!! Evil Basds

Three of them were killed by Armed Police!
I think you need to read a better paper:
All three men were shot and killed by armed police at nearby Borough Market.
http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/0/suspects-behind-london-terrorist-attack/

From The Mirror Website

///Three terrorists murder seven with van and knives before being shot dead by police in London Bridge massacre///
Hard to have a sensible disussion when people can't grasp the basic facts.

I think the presence of armed police was a major factor in this not being a bigger traded. It apparently took them just 8 minutes to identify them and shoot them. I hope they were given orders to kill and not maim.
