I supported Trump, when he took action over Assad the Butchers chemical weapons, but I hope he isn't being rash here.

If Kim Jong-un can appear in public with that ludicrous haircut, then he is capable of anything !

I don't think his barnet signifies his military capability or lack of restraint, as odd as it is.

I'm more worried about Trump - the man is clearly detached from reality.

The complete slavish hero worship of the NK Leader is worrying.

If you look at the video clips, you will see that lots of his generals look at Kim and then start cheering and clapping like crazy. I don't have much confidence that they will stop him if he orders a strike on SK or the Yanks.
One brave soldier could put an end to this farce.

Dave....I think that even if someone were to take Kim out
( I hope you meant him, and not Trump ! ) then another NK nutter would emerge immediately.
Every sensible person in the world knew that Trump would start sabre rattling at every opportunity and theta sooner or later he'd encounter an ego and delusion as big as himself and we'd all be led in World War III. Personally I'm so heart sore with the idiotic state of the world they could decimate the whole damned lot of it at the moment, because wiping out humanity would be a very good thing when you consider the evil we do. Sick to death of everything to do with gullible fools electing morons and the decent people have to suffer the consequences.
If such an individual with nuclear strike capability is boasting that he is prepared to use it, alarm bells should have rung a long time ago to remove that capability from that part of the world. He seem determined to attract attention which is dangerous for a nation's leader. Underlines the instability there and the potential that should be removed.
2 of those Moabs should do it, one on Kill Il Jong's place and the other on the nuclear site.
I'd suspect the delivery system might be an issue.

In fairness if he limited his threat, such that it was about responding to a zero possibility nuclear attack on him, rather than against *any* "provocative" action, then it's less serious; but even so it is too risky to ignore. Do we know who is supplying the wherewithal to build such weapons ? Does N. Korea have the natural resources to do it themselves ?
A couple of things worth bearing in mind: N Korea is a brutal dictatorship many if not most of whose people are kept in fear and abject poverty. One way of keeping people inside in such a situation is the cultivation of an enemy without, in this csdevtge USA in particular and the outside world in general.
Another is that N Korea's nuclear capability is currently very limited. It's likely that many of its weapons have not been properly tested. They don't yet have the capacity to hit the US directly but it's a capability that needs to be halted.
So a lot of this may be bluster, although there may well be genuine fear. There's certainly paranoia. But, pretty much like Putin in Russia (where it seems many N Koreans have been sent as slave labour for World Cup stadium construction) any attack - from within or without- would end their comfy lifestyles and wealth.
Kim Jong-Un is just a puppet. The real power are his 'advisers' who control his every action. He is no more than a figurehead, it suits those who really run the country to let him take the spotlight while they work behind the scenes to achieve their aims. If he ever actually realises what is happening he will be eliminated just as his brother was! He is allowed to import huge quantities of Cognac and luxury food to keep him happy while the real powers control the country.
Lots of more serious incidents in the past which didn't lead to all out war. Appreciate we didn't have The Donald as POTUS but important to keep things in perspective.

I don't think you're right there Eddie. Kim really is the absolute ruler of his country. I doubt it gets more 'absolute' in fact.
There are lots of shadowy figures but they are all faceless yes men. Kim views nuclear weaponry as his guarantee against external regime change. As I said above the nuclear capability probably doesn't amount to much yet but there's a fearsome array of conventional weaponry there. What happens when he DOES develop a possible nuclear deterrent is the big question
the Battle of Barnet was fought somewhere outside London

The battle of Two Barnets, however...
Whoever is POTUS, UK PM, EU President, Russian "leader", or head of any other State, or World organisation the N Koreans are hell bent on threatening the rest of us with Nuclear weapons. They have invested far to much time and resources to stop now. The whole point of achieving a Nuclear capability is to blackmail the rest of the World, and S Korea and Japan in particular. They will of course be steered towards the "targets" that suit the particular Chinese, immediate, political goals. Until the rest of the world, with or without the approval of China, agree to real action,(and I don't mean airy fairy economic sanctions) they will keep going for broke. It will take cataclysmic action to stop them but will eventually result in worse if we don't.
Ichkeria, google "who runs North Korea" and you will get stuff like this:
https://www.bustle.com/articles/23950-kim-jong-un-doesnt-run-north-korea-a-mysterious-organization-does-apparently

but also from more well known sources.
If the threat is reduced it matters less who has the real control.
Hmm, interesting ladybirder, although I am not sure I would would to fall foul of Mr Kim, even if I was one of the shadowy folks behind the scenes. A lot of the power of the regime rests on personality cult and Kim is more or less a royal or godlike figure, and I am sure he knows it! Ultimately I am sure that what he says goes.
I am also not sure that blackmail is the reason behind N Korea's desire to acquire nuclear missiles. I suspect they simply see it as a way of deterring regime change. But plainly the prospect of them having this capability is not a pleasant one.
Nothing came out of the meeting between Trump and Xi Jingping - I bet something was agreed and also involving South Korea as in the US to Moab the North mob and then the Chinese and South Koreans to go in and divide the country up.
Where does North Korea get it's money from, they can afford a massive military force along with massive state of the art armaments.
The civilians also look immaculately dressed walking amongst large modern buildings on immaculate clean streets.
Palestine, Zimbabwe (uranium for arms), Angola, Cuba, Egypt, India (a big one), Iran (no surprise there), Nigeria, Syria......
