"Prime Minister Theresa May does "not agree" with Donald Trump's refugee ban and will appeal to the US if it affects British citizens, Downing Street says"

She has vowed to step in if any British citizens are involved, and not before time. I guess the honeymoon is over Teresa !

Corby; The link you want is my wife who told me this morning, where she read or heard it I don't know and she's taking a post-lunch nap - disturbing her is more than my life's worth :0)
I had a quick Google (they can't touch you for it) and couldn't see anything about it. I'm sure that in the interests of facts (as opposed to alternative facts) Mrs K would not mind being wakened.
“NJ Isn't it just the ones with dual nationality?”

Maybe, Khandro. I must say I’ve only just begun to take notice of this as it really doesn’t bother me all that much what Mr Trump does (particularly when he’s only doing what he said he would before he was elected). But if so, they’re still not refugees are they? Tourists or business visitors maybe, but not refugees.

“Full British citizens who have dual nationality with one of his banned nations are being told they are banned from the USA for 90 days as well !”

Well then, Eddie, it goes back to the shortcomings of the dual nationality nonsense I have mentioned on another thread (or it may have been earlier on this one, I really can’t keep up). Firstly, anyone with dual nationality cannot be a “full British Citizen”. They are only half a British citizen in my view. But that’s only my pedantry. Essentially people with dual nationality want all the advantages of both citizenships but the disadvantages of neither. This episodes demonstrates that they are out of luck.
Odd how some countries allow multi-nationalities if it is such a bad thing.
NJ In certain cases, the dual nationality (which I agree is a nonsense) lasts only until the original nationality passport expires, and depending on which country issued it, it may not be renewable.
Regarding Mo Farah, I don't know his status, but if he has a joint nationality (British and Somali?) and wants to live in the USA, it is time for him to sort himself out.
Sort himself out and do what?
ymb at 10:43 - agree with you totally. And of course May doesn't agree, like I've said before our politicians have no backbone !
What Donald Trump issued
The order, which was signed by Mr Trump on Friday, blocks entry to people who were born or have citizenship of Iran, Iraq, Libya, Somalia, Sudan, Syria and Yemen even if they have citizenship of another country, such as Britain, or have a green card entitling them to work and live in the US.
//Sort himself out and do what? //

Well, he's earning 2.2million a year, so I guess he has options.
You're not making any sense Khandro. He has opted to live in the US. What's wrong with that?
Then he must apply for US citizenship, he can't stay forever on a visa.
I'm finding him a bore, he's a Somali who can run fast. I imagine the press have thought it would make a story.

MP Zahawi says Trump order banning him from US is 'demeaning and sad'

http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-38787517

One of Mrs Mays' own MP is now banned from the USA, despite his two sons studying at Princeton, and him and his wife have 10 years visas.

Trump realy hasn't thought this out at all has he ?
'I imagine the press have thought it would make a story.'

You seem to be discussing that very story! You obviously have a bit of a chip on your shoulder about Mo (is it just mo?) though so your answers will be subjective.
mikey; Is that the Mr Zahawi who claimed a total of £170,234 in expenses, ranking him the 130th highest out of 650 MPs, and has involvement with an Iraqi oil company bringing him in a cool £20,000 a month. He's a bit of a dodgy character, if I was The Donald, I wouldn't let him in, no way.
A person born in Iraq having an interest in an Iraqi oil field. Oh yes definitely dodgy!

Referring to this as "turned away" is a nice touch
KHANDRO I don't think that "Between January and August 2016, the German government declined entry to 307 migrants who “posed a threat to public order, internal security, public health or the international relations of one or more member states of the European Union”.

is the same as,

"It has just been announced that German police have thwarted 307 Muslim terror attacks."
