I can think of a few ABers who would welcome a return to these conditions.

send 'em up the chimneys! (I don't suppose transportation is an option any more?)
We often read on here about people harping on about 'the good old days'

I just about remember life without central heating. Gosh...that was bad enough.
the good old days lol, where every summer was hot and sunny and every christmas was white, dream on we've never had it so good
Do you seriously think there are people on here who would want children imprisoned for those ridiculous crimes back in the day ???
"In the 19th Century, children were often imprisoned for what now would be considered minor offences. Seven-year-old Julie-Ann Crumpling (pictured) was jailed at Oxford Castle for allegedly stealing a pram."

Seems perfectly reasonable to me. Sometimes it's the only language they understand.
At least they weren't hanged, which was not unknown in the 18C.
