Last month, we found out that being a professional psychologist lying flat on the ground doesn't stop bullets, and now being a pastor with hands raised doesn't work either:

As these gentlemen weren't gangsters, exactly what should black people do now?

Ok, we will try again.

What do you mean by this post?

"It's not that unusual for the police to shoot an unarmed person and the subsequent enquiry to conclude that the officer did not act incorrectly. That has happened often enough in this country, never mind America."

> "It's not that unusual for the police to shoot an unarmed person and the subsequent enquiry to conclude that the officer did not act incorrectly.

That is a completely rational statement.

A suspect's temperament, body language and history could lead to sufficient grounds to shoot him if the officer felt his/her life was in danger.
What has it got to do with this situation?

But here is another rational statement.

It is not unusual for tjhe police to shoot an unarmed person and the subsequent enquiry to conclude that the officer acted incorrectly.

Mark Duggan - 'lawful killing' (inquest ruling)
Are you offering that db as justification as to why this chap got shot?
We could swap names all night ag, but what does any of it have to do with this specific instance of a man being shot?
I am simply upholding db's rational statement.
awesome
Randy, what is factually incorrect about DB's statement?

I commented on your statistics. if you can't be bothered to make a coherent case but just post some a few cherry picked figures that's your prerogative. But of course the statistics were a diversionary tactic since the issue is that the police shouldn't have killed someone in these circumstances.

omg, seriously, you hit the nail on the head DB and i need a bigger irony klaxxon that the one i have.
when the enquiry starts do you think the fact that police sometimes shoot unarmed people will be a major talking point?
Just why can't some abers see that this unarmed black man was shot and killed unlawfully.?

Anneasquith > Just why can't some abers see that this unarmed black man was shot and killed unlawfully.?

Because some abers understand that the full facts have not been determined by an enquiry that the man was 'unlawfully killed'

> I also showed that SP's apparent belief that blacks are particularly at risk from the police is false

Give your expertise in statistical analysis could you make your data on white deaths v black deaths meaningful by expressing each as a percentage of the total white and black populations respectively. Maybe it's in the article if you could just extract it for me. Not that it's relevant but it's interesting nonetheless
I would have thought that the obvious answer was, 'Do what the police tell you to do'.
