Rape is a cowardly despicable crime, hope this young lady recovers with love and care and returns to her family.
He who sows the wind...
Dreadful. I can't open the full story so i'm not sure how the Mail knows they were illegal migrants- unless the lad told her before the second meeting.
Rape is a horrific crime. I wonder whether there were any more rapes in Europe this week?
They had no papers and internet contact led back to a hotel room. They were caught just before trying to flee to Germany.

I knew someone would come up with that little old chestnut.
Thank heavens they got them, a huge number of rapists are never caught.
I cannot imagine what she went through, I am glad they have caught them. Let's hope justice is served, and then they are sent home.
I like picking old chestnuts. The Mail and some on here like cherry picking AOG.
Hope so marval
I would hope that ff didn't use the unfortunate phrase "cherry picking" intentionally. We are talking the gang rape of a young girl here.
I would think that totally unlikely and am amazed anyone would even pick up on it.

What's the Mail got to do with it, this was a report by the Express.
Are you addressing me JD?

I am responding to the sly dig from Togo if so.

If you mean I knew the warped point he was making, yes - I'm not stupid.

However the two references are poles apart in the way they are used in speech.

It never ceases to amaze me how low some will stoop to try ( and fail) to get their point across when we have a marvellous language we can all use well enough.
Well I said I couldn't open it. Express and Mail both like to cherry pick. Sadly rapes are not uncommon and are often not given enough prominence in the news but when migrants are involved in one there is a strong chance it will make the news as a big story.
Yes, the phrase cherry picking was unfortunate but wouldn't have made sense if it was a deliberate pun because the papers and AOG didn't commit the act

Sorry, crossed with others- mine took ages to submit
FF...she was gang raped and beaten, gagged and tied up. We'd be foolish to deny it isn't happening more often
