simple divebuddy- it's because some posters only focus on about crimes by migrants/black people. That suggests to me the posters are less concerned about crimes by white people/non-immigrant. All crimes are dreadful and we should feel equally sorry for the victims and contempt for the perpetrators regardless of their colour/status.

FF - there are clearly people on here who do not believe that there is an immigration crisis and that ceetain countries,including the UK, should be taking in more.
You state the valuable contribution of some migrants. I do not dispute that but there are a huge number who are making little or no attempt to contribute and integrate. Many are not capable of employment and are not attempting to learn a new language.
Should countries accept more and more people such as these?

That should be 100% up to them once we are no longer part of the EU. I don't think we should accept more in the UK unless they have been fully vetted and can make an important contribution. As an aside I think we should restrict the use of the burka here just as they do in France- it is another massive barrier to integration.

ummm- I have not suggested/implied those that come in dinghys are doctors and nurses. There is a crisis that Europe is failing to deal with - we should not allow these boats to get anywhere near Europe and our navy should not be helping. I've said that before. I've said here that there is an immigration crisis In Europe, Calais and to a lesser extent here. I only mentioned doctors to show that not every immigrant is part of the crisis. the crisis is illegal immigration, not immigration per se.

Ah! at last all is becoming clear, colour raises it's ugly head once again.
We are discussing the crimes of migrants coming from the continent of Africa and the Middle East, I apologise that for this reason we cannot change the fact that these people happen not to be white skinned.
But in the interests of diversity, I assure you that in the unlikelihood that some among them might happen to be white and have committed such crimes, I am sure that they will be reported on by the press, and I will then offer those reports up for debate as per usual.
