It is going to get blocked anyway?

Doesn't matter who it is because there will be those that want access specifically for their citizens and the europhiles that want to 'make a point'.

We might as well go in hard but be realistic enough to know that in the end we should just say stuff it and revert to the WTO rules.

They can deliberately choose not to agree; but on the other hand we can repeal legislation and just walk away at any time. It is in everyone's economic (and other) reasons to play ball and stay on as good terms as possible. The rest is pure unrealistic wishing.
total mystery to me, stuff the single market, we can negotiate after. We will never allow what they want so we'll just have to play silly bu66ers. In the end the EU still want to sell us their goods so business will find a way, they pull the strings of the politicians anyway. I just can't understand what their is to "negotiate" .
TTT, The USA, Australia and India have all said that while they are willing to sign trade deals with the UK post 'brexit' they will not start negotiations until they know how how our exit from the EU has been managed!
Just telling the EU ''up yours you *****ers we're out of here!'' may not be entirely conducive to a beneficial deal!
^^ awaiting the usual reply from TTT !
