Do people who have tarred all Muslim refugees with the same terrorist/fanatic brush bear any responsibility for this?

Is there a full moon tonight?

I dunno, but when Pat Condell gets dragged into a thread it must be time to go!
Whoever lobbed a grenade into a home not knowing who it may kill or maim or how many is an utter coward.

RIP Yuusuf.
Its gonna get worse, trust me.
It??

What have we missed in this News report?

What did the perpetrator have in mind when they acted?

/// Let me rephrase the second question. If this outrageous murder of a British boy turns out to be motivated by Islamophobia will those who have tarred all Muslim refugees with the same terrorist/fanatic brush bear any responsibility for it? ///

Well I have read through this link 3 times and I can't see any reference to Somalians, Asians, Muslims even.

This could be a gang attack an inter racial attack or a revenge attack etc. and it so happens that an innocent boy from Birmingham happened to be in the wrong place at the wrong time.

/// will those who have tarred all Muslim refugees with the same terrorist/fanatic brush bear any responsibility for it? ///

And if it is proven that this case was not motivated by Islamophobia, will you Sandy bear the responsibility for assuming certain matters before this tragic case is fully investigated?
// Do people who have tarred all Muslim refugees with the same terrorist/fanatic brush bear any responsibility for this? //

no of course they dont....

it is like saying - does fat lovable old etonian Boris bear any responsibility for the chaos that is Brexit ....
^^ Chaos, what chaos?
I think that must be the point. No Chaos.

AOG, if it transpires that I am wrong and Islamophobia played no part in this tragedy I will admit it.
Nontheless, I still feel that those, here and elsewhere, who see all followers of The Prophet(PBUH) as fanatic terrorists could do worse than examine their consciences. Careless talk can cost innocent lives.
Odd post even for you Sandy.

Do you with your 'let them in with welcome arms' stance bear any responsibility for the sexual assaults rapes and murders committed by refugees/immigrants?
Folk are deemed responsible for their own actions. (Even if in a deterministic universe this is questionable, but society can not exist in any other form.)

Whilst I believe those who think all Muslims are much the same and hold a desire to obliterate others, are wrong, expressing their puzzling opinion is no justification for the perpetrators of the attack.

Therefore expressed opinions bear no responsibility. It's not like those who expressed them were preaching violence against Muslims and encouraging the attacks.

The search for truth, and the debate that inevitably is part of that, must be considered unrelated to the actions of fanatics; as otherwise we would be put off even trying to understand anything just in case it can be related to something we'd wish to avoid. Such a head in the sand attitude would be to no one's benefit.
" I still feel that those, here and elsewhere, who see all followers of The Prophet(PBUH) as fanatic terrorists"

what a load of tosh....who has actually said, or stated that...just another of your delusional outages...

not wanting them flooding our country and saying they are all lunatic fanatics are entirely different, yes there are plenty that are/will be fanatics, but not all...

/// A police spokesman said: 'One of the people registered at this address is a person convicted by a district court for murder.' ///

/// The murder and last night's attack are both believed to be part of an ongoing feud involving members of the Somali
community. ///

It now seems it is something we must expect from various countries immigration problems.
I await with interest sandyRoe’s response to Talbot’s question at 08:31 Tue.

Naomi, sorry for the delay. I was just boiling the breakfast. The porridge takes some stirring if you don't want it lumpy.
I really can't see any equivalence between intelligent people insidiously dripping their sectarian poison into the ear of the body politic, and then playing Pontius Pilate if their words inflame violence, and criminals who commit sexual assaults. Nor can I see how proponents of a more liberal and humane policy towards people fleeing from violence few of us can imagine should be expected to take responsibility for the crimes of a few of them.

I am surprised at the way this thread has developed - mainly because your OP appears unconnected with the story to which you have linked it.

All indications point to a revenge gang killing, in which an innocent child has been caught.

So I am likewise mystified as to why refugees are being brought into the debate?

Perhaps you would like to expand on your point - and the apparent lack of relevance of the link?

Are you serious?
I know you like to stir Sandy but really you are just taking the *** here, right?
For a moment there I thought sandyRoe was being serious and that I would be interested in his answer to Talbot's question - but having seen it I realise he wasn't and I'm not.

Naomi, the first two sentences in my post at 10:32, an attempt at humour, were directed at you.
The rest of the post may be worth perusal.
