didn't see it ummm, but wouldn't be the first time the media has put a 'spin' on things
It appears that young black men are more likely (per capita) to get shot by the Police in the USA - but how much of that can be laid at the door of their societal upbringing and attitudes, rather than racist/corrupt police?

Every black victim is suddenly a saintly, church going, polite young man in the eyes of his community - is this likely?

I have no idea of the answer - just that the problem is probably not as simple as "racist cops shoot too many blacks" - nor is this incident in Baton Rouge as simple as "hoodlum uses any excuse to shoot cops".

I am just profoundly glad that most young black men in the UK don't routinely carry a gun, and that most police in the UK aren't armed, which means we have avoided the spiral of gun violence that besmirches the USA.
Thanks ummmm and Hypo for the additions.

Could it be that America is a perfect example of how the 'Multi Cultural, Multi Racial' experiment just doesn't work?

They say that when America sneezes we later catch the cold.........
AOG....if the "Multi Cultural, Multi Racial" experiment isn't working, whose fault is that ?

Is it the Africans that were dragged out of their homeland against their will and taken to the Americas, or is it the mostly white Americans who did the dragging ? ( and the British before them )

12.6% of the American population is black, but the country remains overwhelmingly white..... 72.41%.
The overwhelming minority indeed but they still got a black president to run the country. Can't get much fairer than that!
