Scotland is unlikely to get another independence referendum if Remain wins. But would get one if we Leave. So if her aim was to force a Scexit, she would be encouraging a Leave vote, instead of warning about it.
She has to warn against Brexit in order to encourage the Scots to vote differently to the rest of the UK and want to remain; to bolster some daft suggestion that, that is sufficient to trigger another referendum to leave the UK simply because they didn't get their way on something as part of the UK. The difficult bit is ensuring that the rest of us vote for leave.

If she wanted a scexit at all costs gromit I'd agree but she still wants to stay in the EU. It's a curious position really, if the indies had won last year then they'd have left the UK and the EU and presumably be applying to get back into the EU. If we now vote brexit and the Scotts subsequently vote for "independence" they'll still be outside the EU. Either way they'd have to go cap in hand to Brussels and in my opinion extract a much worse deal than staying in the UK even if the UK leaves the EU. I guess the Scots hatred of England overrides any sort of rational thinking on this.
Jesus Tora just write english will you ?

Mcfear has nothing to do with but looks like McLIbel
McDonalds has NOT told its employees it will fire them if they vote to stay
Jimmy K has nothing to do with Nicky S or Jimmy Choos shoes
Scexit may be your new word ! well done - it could even get into a dictionary and has nothing to do with septic ( tank ) a favoutite of yours or sceptic as in eurosceptic

so if you have something serious to say
use english

and if it is the usual trivial crap - righto! carry on ! another belter from 3T !
Tory right wing take-over indeed. No country wants to have just a single party to vote for. A particular political opinion can be out of favour for a bit but eventually it is inevitable that folk want a change, especially those who finally give up on the incumbents improving their lot. A political dividing line is drawn somewhere, and one is back to option for right or left of it.
O Nicola S demanding another referendum ?

she has done it before and I dont suppose the result either way will shut her up - all paid for in the european way by someone else in this case the English tax payer
... and one is back to having the option to vote for right or left of it.

PP: feel free to ignore my posts if you find them too challenging for you, no need to get your Alans in a Brahms.
I translate that as 'knickers in a twist'.
We shouldn't have to translate!!

irony?
// PP: feel free to ignore my posts if you find them too challenging for you //

ah 3T for you the medium is more important than the message ....(Marshall McL)

Alans in a brahms ..... brahms and liszt - hmm I know that one... altho I prefer Brahms and Schumann as Brahms never married Clara Schumann after her husbands death on account of him having syphilis.

but alan ... alan - partridge perhaps

ao alan in a brahms means dont let "my partridge get syphilis"

yay ! another challenging belter from 3T !

// We shouldn't have to translate !! //

I agree completely
We shouldn't have to translate!

short clear and concise post from umm !
Alan Whicker's - knickers. Get real.
There's some fantastic pot ... kettle ... black on this thread.
Jimmy K is desperate for another Scotthish referendum. She suffered from Daves Project fear 1 so it's now ironic she participates in Project McFear2.

PP, are you really serious? I understand all TTT's posts, more than I can say for yours!
If you do need to use rhyming slang, at least update your references. No one under 45 has heard of Alan Whicker.

Perhaps Garys.
Gary who?
I was wondering Alan who? I like TTT's posts - but when he prattles on with all that rubbish rather than puzzle over them I tend to skip them completely. Life's too short.
"I guess the Scots hatred of England overrides any sort of rational thinking on this."
What arrant nonsense, TTT! As I've often pointed out to you before, there is vastly more evidence on AnswerBank of English dislike of the Scots than vice versa. There's even a hint of it in this very thread already and I shouldn't be surprised if more of that turns up.
The First Minister has said repeatedly that she would contemplate a second independence referendum, if one - or even both - of the following things happened:
a) soundings or polls conclusively revealed that the Scottish electorate positively wanted another such referendum
b) the Westminster parliament enacted legislation that was directly harmful to Scotland.
Some believe that, if Scotland is taken out of the EU against its people's will, THAT would be an example of 'b' above.
Why do you persist in propounding obvious untruths?
