No. Absolutely not.
Definitely not.
It's a pity that what he did can't be called treason, turning your sword - as it were - against your own kind.

///do you think he should receive his pension at 60?///

\\\ the Armed Forced Pension Scheme confirmed the convicted terrorist will collect Government cash when he hits retirement age. \\\

He's 52 ( born 63/64?) now so his pension will be paid when he hits 67

And no, I don't think he should get it.
I hope he meets the 'Feathermen' before he collects it.

Baldric, the link suggests he is eligible to claim at 60.
I take it that the Irish Republican 'Army' doesn't operate a pension scheme...?
lol Jack if they do its probably come from drugs money and back raids and delivered in little brown envelopes!
'bank'

AG, I went with this part of the link
//In documents seen by the Daily Star Sunday, the Armed Forced Pension Scheme confirmed the convicted terrorist will collect Government cash when he hits retirement age.///
and used this site
https://www.gov.uk/state-pension-age
to check his Pension age, which is how it is calculated foe all of us
I agree it is misleading

FOR not foe ^^^^^^ Doh!
baldric - I reckon 'foe' sums him up pretty well....:o)

Thanks Baldric.

Jack, I think you're right, I should have left it.
Absolutely not and I'm surprised he is. One usually loses all pension when dismissed for gross misconduct. I can only think he was never dismissed.

He was in the Royal Engineers, and a pension was part of his employment, so of course the state should honour its end of the deal.

This reminds me of when naughty people win the lottery and people get outraged.

I remember that Roisin McAliskey was wanted for extradition to answer charges for this bombing but Jack Straw ruled against it.
That's entirely different, gromit.
Trying to kill, maim or injure men and women who had been your brothers and sisters in arms ought to mean you forfeit your right to receive a pension from the organisation which had employed you all.
