The hypocrisy and irony of the left...

this useless fool and his marxist cronies knows hes wanted out, so anybody speaking against him will be banished...sound familiar
It seems Jezza has well and truly pressed the self destruct button for what will remain of Labour. It seems most of the more saner ones are ready to walk en masse if he doesn't quit.
any Tory speaking out against Cameron could expect the same; indeed, anyone outspokenly criticising his employer could. Hardly big news.

HB did not speak out against anyone, it was a free vote.
Some of you are so politically naive.
As has been said, any Tory cabinet member who directly opposed the will of Cameron would be in exactly the same position.
stand up and oppose your boss's opinions in public and wait for him to pat you on the back and say what a fine chap you are and how you can expect promotion.
Probably better to wait until the reshuffle has been announced: Hilary Benn might not keep his job but that could also mean moving to a different or even greater role, or it could just be that annoying habit Corbyn has of not answering questions.

That said, I wouldn't be totally surprised if Benn does lose his job. He doesn't really belong in a cabinet led by Corbyn -- although from my point of view that means Corbyn should go, rather than Benn...
"although from my point of view that means Corbyn should go, rather than Benn". And obviously, your point of view is far more important than that of the 56% of the party who voted for Corbyn. As I said, some of you are so politically naive.
Umm... I never said my view was more important. It is to me, sure, but obviously not to the current Labour party. Just expressing my opinion.

Naive, my foot.
Michael?
Corbyn should obviously try to build bridges by promoting Simon Danczuk
"Some of you are so politically naive. "

but its about Jezza cor bin Ladens circus troupe its not about The Torys, so whats your point ?...oh you havent got one...Zzzzz
When you say, "it was a free vote", TTT, it is worth noting that Corbyn allowed Labour MPs the free vote on bombing Syria, which is more than Cameron offered his. I understand they were three-line whipped!
So, precisely which of the two DID "tolerate independent thought"?
