Does anyone know why the Stetson has reappeared at the top left of the page? (It's not even GB's birthday! http://www.theanswerbank.co.uk/ChatterBank/Question986318.html )

A good possibility, Bathsheba, (especially as I've just posted on Pastafreak's Thanksgiving thread), although the Stetson has been there for several days now.

Blimey Chris, you're observant! ;)

Perhaps a veiled reference for those who transgress, they end up with an Answerban.

Yeehaa!

Which is worst, Douglas? The Taliban or the dreaded Answerban?
Can't even see a Stetson!
Possibly the latter, the other at least puts on a show trial.

Anyhoo, long day so I'll bid y'all goodnight.

Caran:
The Stetson's not there on the mobile version of AB (which you might have on your iPad) and it's only really visible on the 'normal' version if you zoom in on it. (Otherwise it just looks like a 'splodge' on the final letter of 'Answerbank').

Sorry, I seem to have ignored you.

In Harwich (where the Mayflower set sail from before calling at Plymouth) the tour guides in the local museum are keen to point out that the Pilgrim Fathers were actually a bunch of guys who were totally ill-equipped for their journey. They were all 'professional types', with no sailors, builders or farmers among them. So, it seems, Americans annually celebrate a load of losers ;-)
^^^ if the coming elections are anything to go by,they still are ;-)
