Nothing very new here Khandro !

Farage has been saying NO to Europe for years, but I notice that he never says NO to all the lovely money that he earns from turning up in Brussels occasionally !

He seem to be biting the hand that feeds him, and feeds him very handsomely indeed. Filling his boots and then insulting the institution that pays him !
I saw Farage interviewed on Channel Four News last night. He echoed everything I have been saying about Saudi Arabia being the cause of all this, and them not being a true ally.. I was nodding in agreement.
Then he spoiled ot all by reverting to his anti EU rhetoric?
I watched him on television last night and was impressed. Common sense!!
Common sense and not afraid to say what everyone is thinking - riles up the Lefties who have a leader that refuses to answer 'hypothetical questions'
Mr Farage is the only politician for whom I have any respect. He says exactly what most of us are thinking. I used to be a leftie, but one day, ... i woke up and realised how dangerously backward thinking that was.

If you worked for an organisation that was corrupt had hidden their public spending accounts would you continue to suck up to management and say nothing or would you divulge the faults of the company. If you are not amongst it you cannot see what is going wrong with it.At least Nigel Farage takes the time and trouble to travel thousands of miles each year to attend his duties.
Now if you want to talk about snouts in the trough you can look no further than the Kinnock clan for obtaining large amounts of money for doing nought.
I am sure Mr Farage can account for every euro he has received for his attendance. Could your welsh windbag do the same?

Which only goes to prove that he is a man of principles, in the fact that he is prepared to lose money, in exchange for keeping his principles.

What other politician would be prepared to do that?

mikey, unless you have watched this powerful speech made last night, before my posting the link to it less than an hour ago, I urge you to do so, and please return with something better than comments on MEP's salaries.
Kinnock had a salaried job as an EU Vice Commissioner. He had set dities and a set pay scale. Comparing him to an MEP claiming expenses is not comparing like with like.

If you research you will find that Labour have slightly more MEPs than the Torys do I believe.
I don't understand the suggestion that, if you have principles that says the organisation you are in should not be, that you should be stupid enough to campaign/work towards your country's exit for nothing, whilst all others willing to inflict the organisation's demand on their country can get paid. The position has remuneration, it's not only for the sycophants.
Retro,
Very easy to Cherry pick the Labour MPs who became EU Commissioners. But it is not just Labour. Chris Patten attained the same level and received the same money. As did Leon Brittan and Lord Hill. Did you conveniently forgot those?

LOOK, if anyone wants to talk about MEP's salaries kindly start another thread. This is about the most important questions facing Britain, not only today, but for the future of your children and grandchildren.
At least we have someone talking sense, especially over the EUSSR.
Well said Khandro at 11:27.

Ditto AOG at 10:55.
I echo naomi!
Another good all round performance.
