I'm going to be doing the first out of 5 shifts as a volunteer at the soup kitchen with my mother tomorrow.
I've been to the shop and bought 40 pork pies which I will cut into halves and give them to the homeless :)
I'm really looking forward to giving something back. I might be ill and I might be in and out of hospital but I've got a roof over my head - I have it good.
Share a thought for all the homeless this Christmas and New Year and all the other 363 days.
Good lad !
We should remember that people are homeless all year round and not just at Christmas but if Diz ,his Mum and other selfless people can raise awareness then it's a job well done.
No-one asked for this route in life (to think that someone was delighted to see them born..as a Mum I can relate to that )....i'm passionate about helping less fortunate people. I'll do what I can this year...absolutetly...I never judge... ever.
Admire the deed but puzzled why pork pies? They cost at least £3.50 for one medium size pie - isn't there anything else you could give which is cheaper thereby feeding more people Diz?
Stuff to do Anne and I need to sort out my physical health. I've got loads to do in the new year so probably (most probably) won't be online. I didn't want people worrying about me that's all.
