Appears at court today but what of the charges he faces? The 'uniform' charge is bizarre to say the least. Short video in the link where Golding outlines the situation.

mikey, the mosque is being built on a car park adjacent to the station, which is a key commuting point for workers in London. as well as the loss of that facility, the local council has arranged a deal with the train company for the mosque to block-buy nearly 80 spaces in their own car park. thus aside from the disruption of the building work itself, the resultant...

'There is no compulsion to wear BF merchandise in public campaigns. The prosecutor will have to prove 'beyond reasonable doubt' that it is compulsory to wear. This, in my opinion is not possible.' Was that based upon legal opinion or just from their own website?

'The prosecutor will now have to prove beyond reasonable doubt that it is compulsory to wear our merchandise – something they cannot do as it is completely untrue.' BF website.
> After 300-odd posts I'm still not really sure of Ag's stance on this.

Really? I think it has been quite clear from the start that she supports BF and their vigilante actions.

Also that, if what she posts is true (e.g. "My assertion [that BF would win the case] is based on several legal opinions I have taken myself") then to take such a close interest she must be fairly close to them, a supporter or have a lot of time and spare cash on her hands.
Royal Mail should have considered asking BF to pay for the postage as they are not obliged to deliver the leaflet for free.

I had not seen that statement on the website

The Royal Mail are legally obliged to deliver parliamentary election material (RM's own words) unless for reasons they have stated.
Question Author
Ellipsis

I didn't spend a penny on legal advice, wide circle of friends...you speculate a lot...
Had they decided the leaflet were lawful, they could have charged for the delivery.

Question Author
TCL

And any other parties material or are you singling out BF's?
If BF were so confident of their message I am sure they would have been prepared to pay for its delivery.
agchristie, no speculation. If you don't support BF, simply tell us that you don't.
In fact why have they not got some of their supposedly many supporters to hand-deliver the leaflets?
Question Author
TCL

Royal Mail's decision not to deliver ensured that millions viewed the electronic version online!
Perhaps AGCHRISTIE is prepared to offer assistance to BF on a pro bono basis?
Question Author
TCL

Why?
is this the same BF that put Lee Rigby ballor's name on a ballot paper?
You appear to that confident in the legal opinions you have received and you have asserted the uniform charge is absurd so I thought you might be prepared to show that confidence in assisting in the defence.

What are your legal qualifications by the way, if you don't mind my asking?
Question Author
Humbersloop,

Yes, but was approved by the Electoral Commission who put out an apology. Ive commented on this earlier if you can see the wood for the trees on this thread.
Question Author
TCL

Very droll.

I don't have legal qualifications either which is why I turn to those who are far better qualified than me.
humbersloop...the very same BF ! Lee's Mum was said to apoplectic with rage when it happened, and who can blame her. It was enough to lose your son but to have salt rubbed in the wound by a racist, fascist organisation must have been unbearable.
agchristie, I maintain that virtually every post you make gives you away as a BF supporter. Surely, if you are, you wouldn't be ashamed to admit it? Just as I freely admit that I'm not.

Why would you deny it? Unless of course you are concerned that admitting it might make it clear that this is a publicity-seeking thread, which could result in it being removed on the grounds that it transgresses the following site rule:

"The AnswerBank is a general knowledge exchange and is not to be used to market, sell or promote any product, service, project or organisation."

If that's the case then I wouldn't worry about it. It's clear that you support BF, and therefore it's clear that this is a thread designed to promote them - right from the link to their website and one of their videos in the OP - and it hasn't been removed yet. So feel free to declare your support ...
Ellipsis has a good point here. Just make an unequivocal statement whether you support BF or not.
