Quote from the BBC link :::: "When asked whether the leaflet could be seen to be prejudiced against Muslims, he said ( Paul Golding, from Britain First) "No. Not at all. We've just simply said we're against the mega-mosque. We don't want it built."

Would he have been against a mega church instead ?

On their website they say, " 5. Britain First stands opposed to all alien and destructive political or religious doctrines, including Marxism, Liberalism, Fascism, National Socialism, Political Correctness, Euro Federalism and Islam. Britain First is a movement of British nationalism, patriotism and democracy. 6. Britain First is committed to...

"What i would not argue against is Islamist extremism, which is entirely different, and as reprehensible as Zionist extremism, or even Christian extremism, and I would equally vociferously condemn them all equally."
Can't take issue with that remark, Andy.
But "equally" reprehensible" is not necessarily the same thing as equally threatening (as in being a real and present danger to you and me here in the UK).
With your actuary's hat on can you rank these four extremisms in order of the risk they present:
Islamist
Zionist
Christian
Britain First/BNP/EDL etc.-ism
Or do you think it's too close to call?
I've just listened to the full interview Jayda Fransen gave last Monday with host Richie Allen on Volcania Radio.

Rather predictably she was given a tough time from an interviewer who was quick to interrupt but Jayda more than held her own. Very interesting to hear what she had to say about challenging the Imams and concerns that Muslims themselves have raised about mosques.

Jayda is only 28 and articulate and made a lot of sense. She stated many issues about multiculturism concerns, immigration, etc which have been mirrored many times on here and will find much favour with a plenty of voters.
Can 'Political correctness' really be described as an alien or destructive doctrine? I thought it was simply good manners writ large.
Sandy, there has been a lot of rubbish stated about the BF and this leaflet issue.

There has been significant support in Rochester over the mosque issue and Fransen has engaged well in this campaign.

UKIP and Reckless are going to win this by-election by a street, probably 15% or more. This is just the beginning....
Oh dear. I'm in the process of growing a beard. So now I'm a bearded, sandal-wearing, mesuli eating, leftie. Should I be worried?
typo there^. Should be muesli
You should be seriously worried, especially as you write muesli as mesuli. They're coming to take you away, ha ha.
You do what you like Sandy!

As Voltaire said 'I may not agree with what you say but I will defend to the death your right to say it' ;-)
First they came for the Mosque builders, and I did not speak out—
Because I was not a follower of Islam.

Then they came for the Trade Unionists, and I did not speak out—
Because I was not a Trade Unionist.

Then they came for the Jews, and I did not speak out—
Because I was not a Jew.

Then they came for me—a muesli chewing leftie_and there was no one left to speak for me.
Always worrying times when the Right seems to be in the ascendency
Sandy, the wooden spoon, it was ever thus :-D
I suppose I could use that wooden spoon to stir my porridge when I tire of muesli
Try Ready Brek, it will give you a glow to complement the new look!
Facebook 'likes':-

BF 541,000
UKIP 280,000

No other party over 150,000

Royal Mail's political decision not to issue the leaflet has spectacularly backfired. Solicitors had checked it and stated no UK laws had been broken.

16 days to go before polling day!
