Old enough murder, not old enough that we can know who it is!

Because that's the law. I'm sure it will come out in time. Among many victims his parents deserve sympathy. It's like something out of an 18 schlock horror.
Why do we need to know so badly anyway? There can be no doubt that they've got the boy responsible.
If you really want to know it's not exactly top secret and there are ways of finding out. Just not in the newspapers.

well perhaps one of you can fish it out of the dark net for me!

BBC, He pleaded Guilty first thing this morning and has just been sentenced to a Minimum of 20 years, still no name though!
Revealing his identity would hinder his eventual reintegration into society. The courts are wise to think ahead.
I agree with Prudie. It will come out in time just like others whose names were meant to be kept secret.
Why does having a name make any difference?
They have the right person and he is safely out of society and can do no harm to anyone else. Demonising him will not help Mrs McGuire's family.

Oh yes, forgot you can still enjoy your life if you murder anyone thanks to the liberals.

so we can watch out when he is released, probably in a very short time.
20 years minimum, ymb. From what's come out in the trial this morning, I would expect the sentence he actually serves to be a whole lot longer.

Although since the boy apparently spoke of killing and going to jail "so as not to worry about life and money", a more appropriate punishment might be giving him a real job. Of course this is not possible. With someone so twisted in thought, though, there is reason to expect that he will never be released. And, if so, quite right too.
Thanks for the link AOG.
His name has been all over facebook up here
Those that know him know it and some that don't know it
Hindsight is a wonderful thing but if only some had reported his twisted sayings before the event (mind you would you say something if a friend rambled on FB in the middle of the night?)
I guess that no-one took him entirely seriously. Which is understandable. I'd hate to be a friend of his at the moment... imagine the guilt you might feel, even though it's not justified, because of not trying to stop him or not bringing this to the school's/ police's attention. Never mind the poor parents, who are reported to have been responsible and mystified. And, presumably, heartbroken.

The entire case, as with any murder or similar horrific crime, is just awful for all concerned. Naming the boy achieves little other than making things yet worse for his family and friends.
I think if I was a 15 or 16 year old and the ramblings were more than a one off - I might have been inclined to say something - but, as you say, hindsight is a wonderful thing.
He did a terrible thing but does no one else think that he is very seriously ill?
20 years - so out at 36. Life expectancy of say 80 years so 44 years to enjoy his life. I just hope you are right jim and someone sees this person for what he is; a twisted cold blooded murderer

He should be named and shamed, if the law stops it then the law is an ass.
//He did a terrible thing but does no one else think that he is very seriously ill? //

Not unless you count being evil as ill.
