Quite literally in the Coulson/Brooks/NOTW hacking trial.

I reckon we'll get a decision within 48 hours and that most (if not all) of them will be getting a stripey suntan.

Chilldoubt,

The payments to police officers is not part of this trial. It is primarily concerned with the hacking of phones, and perverting the course of justice by trying to destroy evidence.

The payments to police and other public officials is a separate issue.

Just going with what it says in the link Gromit:

David Cameron's former communications chief, Mr Coulson, 46, is also accused of two counts of conspiring with the paper's former royal editor Clive Goodman, 56, to commit misconduct in a public office by paying police officers for two royal directories.

Mrs Brooks, 46, faces the same charge over allegedly signing off payments to a Sun journalist's military contact between 2004 and 2012.

Thanks for the avatar like, gotta get in the spirit!
I imagine how long they get will depend on what they have on very important people and of course on whether or not they've managed to knobble the jury which might fluke an acquittal. I'm hoping neither of those things happen but I'm not holding my breath for a lengthy sentence, as they are all obviously very driven, daring people who would stop at nothing to save their own worthless skins.
