So one person complained. I wonder from which religious persuasion they came from?

Do ABers think it is too provocative? and should a ban be off the back of a single complaint?

I don't have any objection to it. Nothing is showing and it's simply a parfum advert.

The ASA agreed and that is the main thing. What minimum number do you think is acceptable?
It was not banned by the way, restrictions have been placed only on its location.
What religion do you think.

There are a hell of a lot of parents that wouldn't be too impressed with their young kids looking at that on the way to school.

I'm guessing the person who complained most likely makes love when alone!
I don't think it should be banned you can't see anything, and it's not as bad as the dress (or non dress) that she wore recently.

Now that I don't like.
You cant see no more than you can see on any beach in the summer. A little sensual maybe. Hardly offensive!
It's not banned though...just restricted.

I think it could have been someone from any religion who complained. I know plenty of hardcore Catholics who would be horrified to see that in the street.
No, one person shouldn't be enough. Ridiculous.
Is it provocative? - Yes.

Should there be some places where it would be inappropriate to display? - Yes.

My view is she may get splinters off that wooden floor. ;-)
It would have been ok if she'd form socks.
Mamyalynne, I will happily pull the splinters out and massage the area better!
Too provocative........what is "too ?"............ Is it provocative? Yes, it is meant to be.

Should it be banned or restricted?.........NO.

It is advertising a potentially sexual product......perfume and hence sensuality in the advert is paramount.

Why not ban tampax adverts.......?
Quelle surprise !!
^ My reply was to Ratter.

Sqad, I don't often see Tampax adverts on the high street, but may well be wrong.
its not really suggestive, she looks more uncomfortable than anything else

anyone remember the sophie dahl ad for obsession?

Mamya.......they are advertised on TV and also the underground, not sure about the high street, but I can't see why not.

Now that picture is definitely more provocative than Rihanna's one.
Of course perfume ads are and rightly so seductive, nothing at all wrong in that, but can understand why for example the parents at a Primary School may prefer not to have that image outside the school 20 foot high.

I think my grandchildren's reaction would be more to wonder if she was cold, but not all are as pragmatic.

Phwoah! ^^ Yes, I do!
It should only be enough if it is me who complained. Others are often wrong in their opinion.
