Corruption amongst Asians is very common.
Here in Birmingham the only people who have ever been found guilty of election postal vote rigging have been Asian.
All the people who have been found fiddling the insurance companies with "cash for crash" car accidents are Asian.
We have allowed thousands (hundreds of thousands) of Asian people into this country whose main aim is to pay as little tax as possible, fiddle the benefits system, and fiddle as much as they to benefit they and their friends.

Would it not be worrying no matter what the ethnicity of the Mayor or the Borough or do YOU have an agenda?

That may well be true Dr F. However I am very familiar with Tower Hamlets (and neighbouring Newham) and I find it incredible to have it suggested that almost half of the population of Tower Hamlets is white. However, having done some further research I had neglected to remember that included in Tower Hamlets is the Isle of Dogs. This area is quite affluent (encompassing Canary Wharf and the like) and it probably dilutes the non-white population quite a bit. However, large swathes of TH has an almost exclusive Bangaldeshi population and it is this to which Mr Rahman turns his attentions.

sp, amazed you don't know Tower Hamlets, also that you didn't see the recent programme about the this Mayor, his shenanigans have long been known. i posted on this recently, i did watch the programme, and even given some degree of bias, which happens, it was an unsavoury piece, Lutfer Rahman comes across as a corrupt, self serving man, and his associations with Channel S and the Bengali community should be scrutinised thoroughly, he also wanted to get Tower Hamlets city status, which is wrong as its a borough of the capital, not one man's fiefdom.

My rule is - I won't assume anything about anyone by their race, sexuality, gender or religion.
If I met a Muslim, I am not going to assume that he or she is anti anything, until they say or do something to prove that.
Same with straight people, black people, white people, Hindus, dwarves, trapeses artists (you get the picture).
The reason is (and it's got nothing to do with being 'PC' or whatever)...is that I've grown up in a very mixed metropolitan area, and have had several encounters with people who have been 100% opposite to what I have initially assumed.
Therefore, I've learned to attach nothing to someone until they give me reason to attach.
It's the 'Danny Dyer Principle'. I met him a few years ago, and found that he couldn't be more different to what I thought he'd be. A very pleasant surprise.
