i will do a catch up later, having watched the first 15 minutes just now, Farage didn't appear bombastic, merely stating the case, will be interesting perhaps to watch the rest, i still don't think it will change anything.
Farage reeks of corruption, and I can't hear Nick Clegg's voice without wanting to strangle something.

Maybe if I feel like torturing myself I might go and watch it. Maybe.
Perhaps but Farage was debating with the Leader of what is now a minor Party in Britain. He should have debated with dave, who would have given a much better run for his money than Cleggie. Its no wonder Farage would appear to have won the debate. Emmie's Aunty Marge would have been better than Cleggie !
why does Farage reek of corruption, in what way?
Krom ..... dooon't do it....

:o)
That pair are the Dumb and Dumber of politics
i don't have an aunty marge, it was a figure of speech, however if i had one, i think she would have given Clegg a slap around the ear hole
Mikey, listen ..... it wasn't about party politics. Any Europhile could have stood where Clegg stood.
Emmie, your imaginary aunt sounds just like my mother in law. :o)
my imaginary aunt would probably slapped them both and put them on the naughty step
Wasn't a significant factor in why dave didn't debate with Farage is that he and the Conservative Party are lukewarm about Europe ? Would he have made as good a defence of Britain's membership of the EU that Clegg did. Clegg hardly made a lasting impression but would dave have done any better ?

It would seem that Farage won the debate before he left home yesterday.
Nobody surprised at Farages defence of Putins actions in Crimea then? I was... Nearly as surprised as I was when reading that Steven Seagal backs Putins actions, and thinks he is the greatest living world leader! :)

And Mr.Farage mentioned something about a "london man left to rot in a greek hell-hole for 12 months" in relation to the argument they were having over the european arrest warrant. Anyone know to whom he was referring, and can provide a link?
LG...normally Farage talks a load of nonsense about most things, so I wouldn't waste too much time trying to locate the hell hole. Hell for me would be something like being trapped in a lift with Farage !
I don't see how anyone with half a brain can be convinced by Farage who uses pub debating techniques such as making up 'facts' to suit his agenda and making jokes to distract the listeners from the real facts. He lied about the number of possible immigrants and he lied about the number of laws imposed on the UK by Europe. He gets away with it because we have become used to some standards of honesty from politicians, he falls well short of those. He is a man not to be trusted, a charlatan and an oaf.
Sometimes, with the way you veil your language, Jomifl, it is really difficult to figure out where you are coming from. I do wish you would say what you really mean ;)
I agree jomifi but he knows his audience. He appeals to the confused amongst us. I have a neighbour who swears that he going to vote UKIP in the May 2015 election. We live in a solidly Labour constituency, in a country that is mostly Labour supporting and I have pointed out that his vote will be entirely wasted as UKIP has no chance whatsoever of winning the seat. But he still insists that he is going to vote UKIP. He is, of course, entitled to vote for who he likes but I can't see the point in wasting a once in every 5 years chance to vote.

If we lived in a marginal seat, where voting UKIP might have some relevance, like preventing a Tory win, I could understand him.
Mikey, Farage is a crypto fascist, I cannot for the life of me think why anyone with socialist leanings would even consider a vote for UKIP but smoke and mirrors and exploiting latent xenophobia seems to work as well now as it did for hitler, mussolini and mosley.
Yesterday I precicted that Clegg would wipe the floor with Farage. That appears not to have happened, perhaps it was wishful thinking on my part. The woman at the Telegraph claims Clegg won easily but the DT may jst be being anti UKIP.

The best comment I have seen was from Nick Robinson at the BBC who suggests they both won.

// ...the reason both men agreed to take part. They knew they could both be winners. //
What other conclution would you get to? Farage was talking to D.C's Puppet! ( Did you not see Clegg nodding his head as he does when the other idiot is speaking in the house)
You might be right, Jom - but if you are mentioning something in a national debate, especially something like "a london man left to rot in a greek hell-hole for 12 months being denied habeas corpus", then it should be relatively easy to find a link to said story. I can find none, and I certainly cannot remember such a case being discussed in the media.

And I am still surprised at Farages defence of Putin. No one else at all surprised by this?
