It's not a setback for the search for Madeleine. That actor has been used in several Crimewatch reconstructs and is no threat to children.

I honestly don't see what the big deal is.

He is an actor, yes most of his work is in adult films, but why should that make any difference to the ongoing search and investigation?

Pretty sure 'acting' in a porn film isn't a crime. Poor judgement by someone at the BBC (if they knew) but hardly the end of the world.

If you do the research, its amazing how many movie actors got their start in films for the discerning lady and gentleman. More so in the sixties and seventies than now but its not illegal and doesn't make the bloke a paedophile.

what difference does it make what films he was in before ? I can't see it makes any difference at all , even if he played a child killer , it is not real just acting. Working in a 'porn' film is not against the law so it would not have shown up even if he had a DBS check

The main point in hiring him would have been that he looked enough like the person he was playing to be convincing no other reason.
