It would seem that Scotland Yard are getting ready for the massive increase of Eastern Europeans coming to this country in the new year.

Is it right to import foreign police to take care of possible eastern European criminals, or is this proof that are our own police are now already overstretched dealing with foreign criminals, to do the job themselves?

/// The foreign police officers bring a skill that we do not have, their language skills. And also access to their mother country police files. ///

If that is the case and taking into account the number of all the various foreign country's nationals who come and reside in this country, why is it we do not also have members of their police forces helping out also?

Not only from EU countries, but also from Somalia, Nigeria and Kenya for example.
Just a thought, but who will be paying the wages ( foreign police ).
/Not only from EU countries, but also from Somalia, Nigeria and Kenya for example. /

The French, Irish and (occasionally) Polish police do.

Not counting the international cooperation on specifics such as drugs, football violence, terrorism etc

Somalia doesn't have a viable police service.

Most Nigerians speak English (to overcome the multiplicity of african languages in Nigeria)

What evidence do you have of a significant problem in UK with Kenyan criminals?

/// it's not just a spelling mistake is it?
it's a complete misuse of the word 'pair', suggesting a lack of understanding on the part of the writer of basic English, ///

Oh so that is what it is then?

Have you never accidentally typed a word phonetically?

Have you never acidently typed a word that has different meanings
It's petty. Your meaning was perfectly clear.
I thought we were joining the Boy Scouts!
WE should tell the Romaninas to also send over a load of builders to build jails for the ones they catch.

Oh no, I forgot. The darling now have 'ooman rights so we cant lock them up for long and we have to give them every luxury in Jail.

Bet the ECHR lawyers are rubbing their hands in glee. Using another countries files bet they will use that.
Luxury in jail?? Have you ever been?
// taking into account the number of all the various foreign country's nationals who come and reside in this country, why is it we do not also have members of their police forces helping out also? //

Try reading your own link...

// Earlier this year it emerged that the Met had approached a number of countries in the hope of recruiting a 30-strong international squad.
It is still in talks with police in Lithuania and Ireland to join the unit, which is part of Operation Nexus, a 100-strong squad set up last year to target foreign nationals committing crime in the capital. //

Left to your own devices aog, I'm sure you will keep this up until you have convinced yourself, at the very least, that there was nothing wrong with with it whatsoever, that being the case I will leave you to it.
/'ooman rights/

hilarious

i wonder if that was even amusing the first time it was used back in prehistory?

and why?

No, we all know that the Scout's motto is "Be Prepared" it's just that AOG failed to spell it correctly.
AOG, stop referring to yourself in the third person, you wouldn't catch Sipowicz doing that! ;-)

Yet another failed search attempt Gromit, that was referring to EU criminals I am referring to foreign police representation from all those non EU countries.

shouldn't the scorer be more impartial on a level playing field?

Bad eyesight, or a sense of humour by-pass?
the only thing wrong with the spelling mistake (and we all do them) is that nearly all of the related questions have the spelling mistake in them -have a look!
Well spotted ClaryS, that's interesting!
/the related questions have the spelling mistake in them/

isn't that because the system is searching for the word 'prepaired' rather than 'prepared'?
