But 11.1% for gas is the highest so far.
all disgusting. I wish I had a pay rise of that amount
How about a pension rise?
All this was predicted when our formally publicly-owned energy companies were privatised years ago. Blame the Tories and the people who voted them in.
"Blame the Tories and the people who voted them in. "

ok i'm happy to do that....will it make the prices come down and stop future rises...nah didnt think so

out of interest

After MT what did subsequent labour governments do about it ?

just asking...
Sorry but i do not believe the government cannot do anything about this
Blame Milliband for excessive rises. They are getting them in, just in case he gets in or the Coalition pinch the idea of freezing prices.

It's not really news. All others will follow suit.

It's hardly unexpected.
Why are these companies not investigated for price fixing?

They are running a Cartel. There is no competition.

Also what is the purpose of Ofgem?
// Blame Milliband for excessive rises. They are getting them in, just in case he gets in or the Coalition pinch the idea of freezing prices. //

Nonsense.

Surely if they want to insure themselves against an18 month price freeze proposed by Miliband, they will do it a couple of months before the election, not now.
There was an interesting radio interview with the head of a small energy company at the weekend. Their prices have gone up nothing like as much and they will not be doing so. Why not? Because they don't have the City or large numbers if shareholders to please. There was no mention of the inevitability imposed by green taxes or the price of gas etc etc.
And Labour have plans to deal with companies which try to pre-empt a pre-election price hike. Being not entirely stupid ...
who was this company Ichkeria?
I can't remember Bazile, unfortunately. He was on with Stephen Nolan.
Apparently they have 500,000 customers.
Wasn't it Miliband who was the architect of the Green Taxes which is now added to our fuel bills?
