Are you? Did you buy one of the new £2 lottery tickets today or did the increased price put you off?

Although the advert has been driving me insane, I went ahead and bought one though I don't buy one regularly and probably won't so often now.

Good luck to everyone who did! What would be the first thing you did if you won?

I have a direct debit for my Lotto tickets. I bought two for each Lotto draw. Now I will just buy one ticket.

I have been checking out 'Zoopla co uk' each week to pick up the house that I am going to purchase with my winnings. :-)
where is your new house going to be wolf ? I bought one because I use the same numbers every week :(
I won £3 on the thunderball so bought one lucky dip in the lottery. Share it out would be the first thing I'd do.

I got a lucky dip too, usually do rather than picking my own numbers.

Ooh what kind of house Wolf? Do your girlies get their own special quarters? :)

I think the first thing I'd do would be to get a damn good accountant and then hole myself away for some pampering and a good rest and relaxation to have a good think about things.
I too have it on direct debit so I've left it as it is for now, 2 lines - to see how it goes. I'd never forgive myself if I cancelled one of the lines and it won......

Same as normal.
I still handed over my 'fast pay' Lotto slip to the Tesco cashier the other day, being fully aware that my £2 payment (for the same set of numbers on a Saturday and a Wednesday) would now be £4. To my surprise, she said "That'll be £2, please".

What a pity I'm honest (and pointed out her mistake). I could have played the new Lotto (for one week anyway) at the old price!
ah, but you might only have won the old first prize, Chris, and be a few millions down on what you're really going to get.
Time to give up. Been doing the same numbers every Saturday since it began, and never won more than 90 pounds in one go. Never really won more than 500 pounds in total. I have to honest though, money is not important to me now...I would happilly swap any fortune won for health.
This post reminded me about the lottery. I've done 1 lucky dip. If I win I won't forget any of you. :-)
Hi sandy ;-) xx
You know these deathbed promises we make? Well MrG had the same numbers from day one...always convinced that they would come up big time.
Well, he made me promise to keep using them when he had gone.. honestly.. how romantic was that? So I shall. x
I love this flat. It is in the city centre and looks out over the river Tay. Alas it has no garden. http://tinyurl.com/o4wsqrb

This house is just outwith the city and has a garden for my babies. http://tinyurl.com/pufnr4s

Neither overly exciting but I doubt that winning a trillion pounds will improve my mental health so I want to live within my safety zone.

eve - Merlin the Warrior Princess says hi. Her brother insists that his lack of gonads may have fooled you but he is all man cat. His is the black and white face peeking out from behind my monitor. He barfed on my lovely clean duvet cover earlier. Can't say what I called him - it wouldn't pass the swear filter.

We have had our three lines, as usual. We'd better win.
I have started doing the health Lottery £5 Wed and Sat.

They look lovely Wolf, nice and cosy.

I would love a power shower (mine is pathetic) or a wetroom - that would be a proper luxury!
I have tonight although I never do the lotto but I missed the Euro last night due to website problems. If I won the big money I would give up work and move abroad.
Prudie - I got early retirement on health grounds in 2003 - I was 40 years old. I have done nothing meaningful since then. If I do win the lottery will I get even lazier?

I don't check my ticket but I wait until the Sunday morning to see if a nice email comes from the lottery people telling me that they have news about my ticket.

Well I got a big fat zero numbers! Ah well, keep on dreaming :)
