I was shocked when his name first came out; less so now. Just goes to show that merely arresting someone is enough to besmirch their name (at least in my gullible mind).

Slightly to one side, but questions have been asked about why police have taken so long to decide they don't have anything on some journalists

I think sir.prize has been making the same point about Yewtree suspects.
I am not shocked anymore to be honest, since all these cases have come to light, one almost waits for the next one!!

Making the images is what most likely will get him. But we will have to wait to see if the prosecution do actually have hard evidence.

Shocked, no not really. But I still think he should not be named unless proven guilty.

We can't have secret arrests and secret trials in the UK.
No, but there is a difference between "secret" and publishing in newspapers and on TV. Perhaps that shouldn't be allowed until someone is found guilty.

pixie, you'd have to gag the neighbours who watched the dawn arrest; the colleagues; the 'friends'; the family; the postman and milkman who saw the arrest - and the dustmen.
