he was on day release, when you look at his record i don't understand why he was allowed out.
I suppose they thought having done 22 years of a 25 year sentence, he would be released permanently soon anyway. He has proven he can't be trusted-again- should be locked up and stay there now.
I read that he had been let out temporarily to see if he was suitable for permanent release.
Presumably the test succeeded in that respect ...
ich....LOL

did you look at the sheet he has and the first killing, vile. One paper said he was out in five years for that one, manslaughter, now it's a third and he is still on the run.
"Release on temporary licence is used to prepare prisoners for their eventual release from custody," a spokesman for the MoJ said.

Would you rather they were sent away with the clothes they arrived in and some bus fair?

Em, another convicted murderer is on the run from HMP Leyhill (open - Cat D).
// McLoughlin had served 22 years of a minimum 25-year sentence for murder.

"Release on temporary licence is used to prepare prisoners for their eventual release from custody," a spokesman for the MoJ said.

"It helps to reduce the chance of reoffending by setting up appropriate employment and rehabilitation work in the community, and maintaining family contact.

"This is essential for successful resettlement." //

I hope that your question is not suggesting the prison does not do any good?

ickeria, is that some sort of jest, i doubt the latest victims family think it's funny. He goes to the house of a man he knew from prison, robs him and a good neighbour, Samaritan goes to help and he stabs him to death. He should be put down for good.
Can we presume that some kind of assessment had been done prior to his release ? Presumably they didn't just leave the back gate on the latch.
Once he's caught he will go down for good. Probably.

three dead at his hands, after the first, and the second, he was given leave essentially to go out and do it again, no i don't understand it.
"ickeria, is that some sort of jest, i doubt the latest victims family think it's funny. "

I think it's called "irony" em ...

really,
you mean he fooled the parole board, psychiatrists, assorted do-gooders etc....well I never !?
Clever people can fool people.
He is a very clever chap by all accounts...
It's an interesting case for psychiatrists I'd say.
"Clever people can fool people"

you dont need to be clever to fool the people I mentioned
I worked in a psychiatric hospital and I disagree.
