If the Jordanian authorities renege on the various promises they've given about his treatment in their country, who will there be to hold Theresa May to account?

Nobody. Who, in Parliament, is going to complain? She woud plead that she acted in good faith and is not responsible for the Jordanian's reneging on their promises and their declared law.
Who cares! TBH I am normally on the side of fair play, and respect for the individual but in this case I think enough is enough.
no one, because he should never have been allowed to stay, play the system for all it's worth. I have no sympathy, he has been here for too long why should anyone be sorry he has finally been deported.
Ditto Rowan.
It was clearly a mistake to grant him asylum in the first place (was that on Blinkett's watch). Blunkett was bady let down by MI5 who believed Qatada was an intelligence asset and actively encouraged he home secretary to make the wrong decision.

Strangely, his 'hate' sermons had never been complained about. They never broke the law and no investigation had ever been made into his rants. He was unlucky that one of the 9/11 bombers had a tape recording of his preachings. The contents of the tape have never been revealed so we do not know if they were in any way incrimination. But since then, he has been guilty by association and we have been eager to off load him (which we were finally successful in doing last night) at a cost of many £millions.

Sorry for typo 'Blinkett'. Made me laugh though.
In the words of Arnold Schwarzenegger 'If He Dies He Dies'.
In actual fact he eventually went of his own accord. So nobody is accountable.
Just a shame he didnt get off the plane at 30,000 feet.

But I doubt we have seen the back of him. His benefit scrounging scum familly are still here and i can guarantee some liberal euoropean court will say he has a human right to be with his family once the Jordanians have finished.
There wouldn't be anything to hold her to account for. If they renege on their promise, that's not her fault.

Who cares anyway?
Who cares anyway?

Not I, ludwig.
I hope he DWP have cancelled his benefits!
LOL ^^^^^^
sandy,
I'm surprised you haven't got a petition to sign about this!
(you've had one about everything else just recently)
Did anyone actually see him go, can we be certain, and
who cares what happens now?
Good riddance!
I agree with Ludwig. If they break the agreement she should not be held accountable.
What will happen to his house and family? presumably his house and council tax are being paid for by the DWP.
This video shows some chap in a frock walking to the 'plane. But is it Quatty or maybe we have deported George 'Jeremy' Osborne. Either way it's a winner for the UK.
oops - here's the video

Baldric, I did look, out of curiosity, to see if there were any petitions circulating, but couldn't find any. I thought for a minute to start one but decided against it. I wouldn't want to suffer the ignominy of being associated with a petition that gathered no signatures. I'm not sure I would have signed it myself.
so are they also sending back the trouble and the saucepans?
