saw it on the news, waste of money and wotapalaver.
I wonder how long before the City Council decide that they are a massive waste of money and pull them of the roads again?

Could have upgraded the entire A9 to dual carriageway for the cost of it all.

2tsp....not long...
I looked for a link to this to put up, they were all so negative I didn't bother!
It's taken them long enough. Made the place an eyesore while they were doing it. I shall look forward to a ride on them next time I get up there.
The supertram in Sheffield wasn't popular when it first started but is quite well used now...............

The Edinburgh trams are not actually going anywhere other than airports and Leith already has good buses on this route.
If they are like the ones in Manchester do be careful, they are so quiet - there were lots of accidents.
At least it's handy for the car boot at Ingleston Market :)

DT....must have taken a flying leap ! X
Blame Manchester.

They have been running an highly successful Tram System for 21 years.

It has high patronage, is expanding and is well liked.

It cannot be taken for granted that the Glasgow System will work. Other City Trams have had their toubles, Sheffield being a bit of a failure.
Sorry, Edinburgh not Glasgow.

Gromit..our trams are not going anywhere really useful and will go largely unused by the locals, more likely to turn into Blackpool like tourist attraction.
Isn't it funny how many people don't like change in the area they live in? We don't want that round here etc etc. Some places have a completely different attitude (like Liverpool) who embrace change and can see the good it does. Liverpool One was a massive development in the city but has really regenerated the whole city centre, both for locals and visitors.
Try not to look on the negative side.
It's tragic that you know someone who was killed by a tram, but that doesn't mean that there should be no trams anywhere in the world. If that was the case then we'd have to ban all cars, motorbikes, buses, aeroplanes, hippos, lions etc etc.

If the trams were providing a proper useful network there would be probs, but it isn't and has simply caused disruption and expense
