Is there such a thing as a serious relationship. Surely a relationship should be fun.
As tenrec says, they should be fun....Well not all of the time of course...You have to have the odd row to make life a bit interesting
Stop getting slaughtered, go find me my 3.5million Salla!

Oh yes. I have been with a chappie for 6 years. I know we will end up living together In Our dotage (what the hell IS dotage), but I am in no hurry. In fact another couple of years living on my own would suit me fine. Is this wrong? Or weird? I think after 2 husbands and having lived with other people for 48 of my 51 years, I am owed or entitled or earnt some space and time to myself.
One of my bf's (best friends, girlie speak) thinks this is weird, , nay, wrong. I don't. What say you?
Question Author
What i mean by serious, pedants, is that even tho I'm pissed, I am being...well...serious.
If you don't think its weird and he doesn't think its weird then it isn't....
Sounds like a great plan to me.
LOL...of course you are Salla xxx You just do what suits you
Question Author
Well, that's reassurance enough for me. thanks guys and gals, another few years it is then....!
well get him to take you away on regular holidays to ease you in to having to put up with alll his irritating and challenging habits, it will teach you patience and forebearance in the face of great difficulty, which sums up most relationships i guess.
I don't think it's weird. I wouldn't want to live in Peterborough either...... ;)

Yeah, but barmaid, I can't ask h to live in Boston. Jeezus, even I don't want to live in Boston, it's a foreign world..... We have decided on Stamford,in a year or five or,two....or something.
Question Author
Mrs hawkes - he has, bless him, given me so many holidays already. I am spoiled.
No, Bbbananas, it's not at all weird (your best friend is a shade narrow-minded if you don't mind me saying so - or possibly envious) and who knows, you may become bored with being alone before the allotted time is up, and this will make the union even more welcome.

Good luck, and enjoy !
By "best friend" I mean the girlie one of course, not the chappie.
Now Stamford is good. Boston or Peterborough = bad.

At least you could set up your local at somewhere like the George or the Periwig!!!
God...I shop in Stamford!!! Seriously Bbb...you need a "man in a cupboard"
In my Tarts on Tour group there are seven of us...only two with husbands but the best is Lizzie who has, for twenty years had a "man in a cupboard." He is gorgeous but just comes out for theatre, dinner, holidays, sex etc. and they each live in their own house for the rest of the time.
What a fantastic arrangement eh? I have an empty cupboard. :-(
I feel a great affinity with cupboards all of a sudden...
I have heard of coming out of the closet; this takes the meaning of that to new heights.
Well! I'm shocked! x
