Racial Tension.
I've no link, people wonder why there is racial tension in the UK, these 3 arrested in Birmingham with intent to kill as many people as the 9/11.

So what's your point? That calls for gun control are wrong? That condemnation of would be suicide bombers is wrong, or that both are OK, but not in combination?

Here's a point to consider...you know when Muslim fanatic burn poppies, or stage demonstrations at Wooton Basset and some people call for their arrest?
Well, could it be that the security services prefer to keep these people at liberty, so that they can build a dossier on their movements and associations, thereby foiling these terrorist attacks?
By the way TWR - don't you think there's more to racial tension than the acts of some extremists?
I don't recall much in the way of anti-Irish tensions when I was growing up in the 70s and 80s and there were loads more terrorist attacks in mainland Britain committed by the IRA.
Did you notice much in the way of anti-Irish feeling at the time?
Well, could it be that the security services prefer to keep these people at liberty, so that they can build a dossier on their movements and associations, thereby foiling these terrorist attacks?

what about white people who have actually blown people up (like the soho bomber). did he cause similar reactions? i think not.....it is just another justification for 'casual racism', which underlies people's true opinions that they know the should not be using or admitting in front of others; so they don't get labelled the racist that they are. those bombers don't make me afraid to walk past people who have brown skin or are dressed in a thawb or turban.

Surely that would be overkill?
Like stopping every banker coming out of Moorgate station and searching them for coke, because they do so much.
Or stopping every 70s Radio One DJ and searching them for pictures of young teenage girls, because...you get the picture.
Surely the police's time is better spent targetting individuals?
They seem to be doing a cracking job of it at the moment. I've lived in London all my live, and can not remember a single occasion where I've been killed by a Muslim extremist.
