Such sad news Ann, I wish him a speedy recovery. The MP for Isle of Wight Mr Andrew Turner suffered a stroke and has made a full recovery. I hope Andrew Marr does similar.

He's been so busy in the last 2 or 3 years, must be a sign he needs to lower the pace, hope it goes well for him.,

wish him well, knew someone who suffered a stroke and it took her long time to recover.
Thats a young age for a stroke, especially for someone concerned about their fitness levels.

I wish him well, and I may have to rethink my own diet and fitness regime..
Who could not wish him well? he is a great presenter,
There are different severity of strokes. And though it is more common in older people, children can and do suffer them. Until we know a bit more about his condition it is too early to get all concerned or talk about pensioning him off.

Difficult to say from the media, if this "stroke" is embolism, thrombus or bleed.

Seems quite young for a fit person.
He's the same age as me.
