It would now seem that our children are no longer safe walking home from school these days.

This brutal savage sex attack, comes close on the heels of the death of a 85 year old woman, who was knocked to the ground and killed, by two young muggers snatching her bag.

Also A man who carried out a shocking unprovoked attack on a young 16-year-old girl who was punched to the ground from behind.

Sqad, if you wore an astrakhan hat you should be perfectly safe there now.

Not so handy with my fists as I used to be Sqad. Now, I might not take some of the short cuts in Bow and Hackney
Please read AOG's thread of 16.30.

He accuses you of being sarcastic, not me; I cut and pasted his comments, they are contained in the <<< >>>

AOG - you asked "Is it safe for our children to walk home safe from school alone?

aroundtheblock responded - Heard on the radio driving home an hour ago that an 11 year old girl was attacked sexually.

Not sure of the details but it appears that it is not safe for children to walk home alone."

Can you explain why it warrants this outburst "Abysmal, pathetic, disgustingly sarcastic, it is little wonder some of you can sleep at night, taking the sorry plight of a young child so as to try and be funny."?
No worries. :o)
@AoG
"I am getting a little tired of your insinuations, I was not losing the argument, there was no argument to lose, simply because no one was prepared to address the correct argument."

I am not insinuating anything, AoG. I am flat out asserting. You did nothing, for 6-7 posts from you and around 50 posts from others, to suggest that we were all failing to "address the correct argument". Only when it became painfully apparent that your arguments were so full of holes that they would not even serve as a string vest did you change tack, and accuse everyone else of shameful responses for failing to address your point.

You are a hypocrite, and your continuing defence of your actions is shameful and tiresome.

Must learn to type faster.

It look like you owe aroundtheblock an apology, AOG!!!

Well, despite these horrendous crimes, things are actually improving across the board, crime wise, according to this:

Why won't you answer the points raised about crime during the blackouts?

By won't you answer Kromovaracun's post? Is it because it's spot on?

And finally, if this thread was supposed to start a debate, why won't you debate?
AOG

Do you think might owe aroundtheblock an explanation for your nasty attack earlier?

And can you please explain why you attack arguments comparing the past to now when you compared the past to now initially?
I tried to answer earlier, AOG, but I think it disappeared in the ether.
I perceive it to be safe around here, so I guess a lot depends on the part of the country you live in. Its quite a big town as well.
Zac why do you feel the need to confuse the issue by distracting us wi facts and figures?
Sorry Corby. I appear to have been wrecklessly relevant to the original question.
As long as it doesn't become a habit, we'll say no more about it, okay?
AOG

People have tried their best to answer your question - "What has happened to England?" To answer that, one necessarily has to talk about the past because it's a long-term question.

I'm sorry if 'delving into the history books' upsets you for some reason, but it's necessary. You even did so yourself. As usual you have proved utterly incapable of engaging with arguments or evidence in any way other than throwing a hissy fit.

(Before I forget: I condemn in the strongest possible terms the craven, vicious attacks on Tasneem Kabir and Paula Castle.)
