I agree it is depressing.
Yep - hate the dark nights, especially when they are damp like tonight.
Not nice, roll on Dec 21st
I love it, curtains drawn and ready to hunker down for the night, except I have to take the kids to their archery lesson, hmmmm!
just hibernate until spring has sprung.
I hate this time of year, it really is depressing, cold, damp and dark here, very dark.
Or, how SAD?
I cope with the depression by letting light levels determine when I open the red.

Crikey , I didn't realise that Iceland has 24 hours of daylight throughout the summer months
The most sensible answer, gness..... one could always buy a holiday cottage in the Falklands - plenty of Penguins to live on down there and peat for cooking.
It's a very light dusk, Bazile - been there.....(Seydisfjordur, Reykjavik and other places - very beautiful).
Gness
How would you cope with Ramadan in mid-year?
I have 20p in local Falklands currency.
Noticed a funny 20p in my change on exiting post office and it was a Falklands 20p coin.
Will keep it in a few years it might be worth 21p.
Log burner going ...
Sky on and watching storm Sandy on Fox news and CNN.

Wish I could hibernate and wake up at end of Feb.
Bigjack, you accommodate it, I remember this question being asked before - you use Mecca time, or something similar, so you get sensible time to eat and sleep.
Just go on holiday, BigJack.....
