Cards on the table - I think he was wrong and very misguided to do this. His tweet read:

[i]''So Messrs Black & Morgan, at (their address). A British Justice team will come up to Huntington & give you a...

''...bit of drama by way of reminding you that an English couple's home is their castle. Say No to heterophobia!''[i]

By doing this, isn't he explicitly putting this retired couple in real danger?

Yes- he was wrong
He is attempting to present himself as a martyr and a champion of free speech. His tweets are not a free speech issue - rather, they concern invasion of privacy, breach of the communications act, and could very well be considered an incitement to violence.

Given the other recent news concerning the BNP, it would seem to be a party in terminal decline, with an increasingly irrelevant buffoon for a leader...

Absolutely he was wrong, if anything happens to that couple it'll be down to him, bloody plank! Hope they sue.
yes he is a total plank for doing that. His 'englishmans home is his castle' is a ridiculous statement in itself as the place was run as a business, even if it was their home, and as such they have to bide by the rules .
"A British Justice Team" aka BNP thugs.

Surely this is threatening behaviour and prosecutable?

And no, making threats is not free speech it is possibly illegal and certainly bullying.
Griffin was on Nolan (BBC NI TV show) the other week, and managed to look an even bigger plonker than Nolan, which is quite an achievement.
I'd say he definitely needs to be spoken to by the police. I wouldn't be surprised if he's hoping he will be arrested so that he can continue to propagate the impression that he is an abused upholder of free speech when in actual fact he is a cheerleader for the oppression of minority groups
Nick Griffin Y Gribin, Llanerfyl Y Trallwng Welshpool Powys SY21 0JQ
Tel: 01938 820560 represents North West England yet doesn't live there or even in the same country.
i recall every bnp critic in the country rubbing their hands together when someone leakied full names and addresses of everyone with bnp membership.
Nick Griffin is an odious individual and needs a visit from the local Police Service.

What is the betting that he starts bleating about his right to freedom of speech being curtailed?
Are you not adding to their danger by drawing people's attention to it, albeit to a limited audience?
// Surely this is threatening behaviour and prosecutable? //

I would have thought so too gromit. We'll see what happens.
Offensive and an offence IMHO.
@Zacs Sorry I dont understand your point. If you mean that this post is drawing attention to Nick Griffins tweet containing the address of the couple concerned - that tweet has been removed from Nick Griffins timeline, and all printed copies of his original tweet have had the address redacted.

@Snafu - So, from your post it would seem you are happy for these peoples private contact details to be posted, since someone leaked the BNP membership list? Thats not an argument. 2 wrongs do not make a right.
I applaud any attempt to embarass and ridicule the loathsome BNP and the odious Nick Griffin - but I do not condone or applaud the release of the contact details of private individuals, as wikileaks did. Thats irresponsible, not in the public interest, and probably illegal.
i dont believe i ever gave the impression of condoning his actions as i dont.

my post was more commentary on the differing attiutudes to what basically is the same crime.
I'm amazed that anyone takes any notice of what Nick Griffin says
We're gonna send the boys round to give you 'a bit of drama'.

It sounds like he's been watching too many cockney gangster films.

Of course he was wrong....... But I think snafu made a fair point.

The BNP are in danger of becoming a laughing stock over this.

I work in the tech services industry, and I found the story of a disgruntled ex-officer of the BNP distributing the list of members hilarious,
Your words SP ^
While in no way sticking up for 'Bogey Man', Nick Griffin or his BNP, but the Guest House address is there for all to see, so why not the gay couples.

Snafu03 made a good point that no one has yet answered.

Some of those members of the BNP (a legal political party) whose addresses were published, were not only also put at risk, and ostracised in their community, but many also lost their jobs.

That is the problem in this country many of these 'minority' groups have laws and organisations to protect their views, but the ordinary man who doesn't necessarily agree with certain views of these 'minority' groups have no one to speak up for them.

And that is why Far-Right groups take up this void, and appoint themselves as the voice of the ordinary man.
Everyone seems to forget the hate mail received by the B&B owners.

///After the case first hit the headlines Mrs Wilkinson and her husband were inundated with hate mail, including a hand-delivered note threatening to torch their house. ///

Bot too much sympathy from the gay community there.
